Marriage Prayer: Romance And Sex

Dear Lord,

We pray that You would impress on the hearts of husbands and wives the vital importance of sex and romance. Show husbands how necessary it is that we pursue our wives emotionally and romantically. We want them to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are on our minds daily and that we desire to show them in very meaningful ways that our thoughts and hearts are towards them. Make them thoughtful and creative. Lord, we also pray that You would show wives how important sex is to their husbands. That their physical needs are as necessary as their emotional needs. This is how You created men and women, to have these kinds of needs. This is a huge part of becoming one with each other, that we learn how to fulfill these needs for each other.

Thank you for this prayer. After our second child, my wife lost some of her ability to enjoy sex. We have had other problems that compounded this issue although we have moved past them. I struggled to understand her for a while. We have a great marriage, but I wish she desired me more.
