We come before the Lord with you in this moment, lifting up your heavy heart and the pain you carry, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Your faith in declaring that God is never too late is a testament to His faithfulness, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We stand with you in agreement, believing that He hears your cry and sees your tears.
The pain you feel may be overwhelming, but we remind you of the words of our Savior in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB): *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* He is inviting you to release the weight of your burdens into His hands, trusting that He will sustain you. You do not have to carry this aloneāHe is with you, and so are we in prayer.
We also want to encourage you with Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB): *"For I know the plans that I have for you,ā says Yahweh, āplans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Even when the pain feels unbearable, Godās plans for you are good. He is not unaware of your suffering; rather, He is preparing something beautiful in His timing. Your declaration of faithāthat you believe you are next in line for His blessing this monthāaligns with the hope we have in Christ. Let us hold fast to that hope together, for hope does not disappoint (Romans 5:5).
However, we must also gently ask: where is your focus in this season of waiting? Is it on the blessing you seek, or is it on the Blesser Himself? Sometimes in our pain, we can become so fixated on the *gift* we desireāwhether it be a spouse, healing, or provisionāthat we lose sight of the Giver. Jesus is the ultimate reward, the One who satisfies the deepest longings of our hearts. Psalm 37:4 (WEB) reminds us: *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* When our delight is in Him first, our desires begin to align with His will, and we find peace even in the waiting.
If your heart is heavy because of a longing for marriage, we pray that God would prepare you and your future spouse during this season. We ask that He would mold you both into vessels that honor Him, that your union would be rooted in Christ and reflect His love to the world. Remember, marriage is a sacred covenant, not merely a remedy for loneliness or pain. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (WEB) tells us: *"Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesnāt have another to lift him up."* We pray that if marriage is Godās will for you, He would bring it to pass in His perfect timing and for His glory. Until then, we ask that He would be your comfort, your strength, and your greatest joy.
Let us also examine our hearts: is there any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or idolatrous longing that may be hindering Godās work in your life? Psalm 66:18 (WEB) warns: *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldnāt have listened."* We encourage you to surrender every area of your life to Him, allowing the Holy Spirit to search your heart and cleanse you from anything that does not align with His will. Repentance opens the door for Godās blessing and restoration.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, knowing that You are the God who sees her pain and collects her tears in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Lord, her heart is heavy, and the weight she carries feels unbearable, but we declare that You are her strength and her portion. You are the One who turns mourning into dancing and clothes her with gladness (Psalm 30:11). We ask that You would comfort her in this season, wrapping her in Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, if her pain is tied to a longing for marriage, we pray that You would prepare her heart and the heart of her future spouse. Guard her from despair, and help her to trust in Your timing. Remove any idols from her lifeāwhether it be the desire for marriage itself or anything else that has taken precedence over You. Let her find her satisfaction in You alone, knowing that You are enough.
We rebuke the spirit of heaviness and despair in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that joy is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and that hope is being restored in her spirit. Father, if there are areas of sin or unforgiveness in her life, bring them to the light so that she may repent and walk in freedom. Cleanse her heart, Lord, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10).
We agree with her declaration of faithāthat You are never too late and that she is next in line for Your blessing. Father, let Your favor surround her like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Open doors that no man can shut, and let Your will be done in her life in a way that brings You glory. Strengthen her to wait on You, knowing that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we leave you with this encouragement: keep seeking the Lord with all your heart. He is faithful, and He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Stay rooted in His Word, surround yourself with godly community, and continue to pour out your heart before Him. He is listening, and He is workingāeven when you cannot see it. You are not forgotten. You are loved deeply by the King of kings. Stand firm in that truth.
