Marriage Prayer: Laying Down Our Pride

Dear Lord,

Thank you for our marriage and thank You for the love that You show us through each other. Lord, we pray against the spirit of pride. We often allow our hearts and flesh to walk in pride. It makes us believe that we don’t need to be the ones to apologize or admit that we were wrong. Pride keeps us from seeing each other in purity, and keeps us from fellowship with You. We pray that every married couple would lay down their pride out of a fear of You, Lord. We pray we would walk in humbleness in our marriages, and with You.
