We hear your heart’s longing for a godly marriage and provision, and we come before the Lord together in Jesus’ name to lift your request. First, let us affirm that your desire for a spouse is not wrong, God Himself said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him" (Genesis 2:18 WEB). Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and we pray that the Lord would prepare and bring forth the one He has ordained for you.
However, we must also gently remind you that marriage is not merely about finding a "partner," but a spouse, a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, as God designed. The world often promotes relationships built on convenience or emotion, but Scripture calls us to seek a spouse who shares your faith, your values, and your devotion to Christ. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If you are currently in a relationship that does not honor God’s design, whether through premarital intimacy, an unequally yoked union, or any other unbiblical foundation, we urge you to repent and seek the Lord’s guidance in aligning your steps with His Word.
We also lift up your need for livelihood. The Lord is your Provider, as Jesus Himself said, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB). Trust in Him, for He has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks a godly spouse and provision. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that You would prepare them, mind, body, and spirit, for the marriage You have ordained. Give them patience to wait on Your timing and wisdom to discern Your will. If there is any area of their life that does not align with Your Word, reveal it to them, Lord, and grant them the strength to walk in repentance and obedience.
Father, we ask that You would bring forth a spouse who loves You above all else, a man or woman of faith, integrity, and godly character. Protect them from relationships that would lead them astray, and guard their heart from impatience or compromise. We declare that no weapon formed against their future marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of loneliness, fear, or desperation in Jesus’ name.
Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for their livelihood, that You bless the work of their hands, and that You meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add all else unto them.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We believe that You are working even now to fulfill Your purposes in their life. May they walk in faith, not by sight, and may their heart find its rest in You alone. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. Join a Bible-believing church if you haven’t already, and surround yourself with godly counsel. The Lord is faithful, and His promises are sure. "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your path.
