For your family members seeking work, we pray that God in His wisdom and perfect timing will provide what is best for each one according to their training and gifts, and that He will give stability and favor in the present temporary positions. We pray for honest payment of wages when due, for peace in the workplace, for no hindrance from former employers, and for a gracious release and full settlement without loss where it is needed. We also pray for the one seeking an urgent temporary position while waiting for a permanent one, that God will open the right door and guard you from anxiety as you wait for His will. Taking the land God promises involves appropriation by faith, putting your foot forward where He has said He will lead, and trusting Him to establish your steps.
For marriage, we join you in praying for a godly spouse according to the Scripture, a marriage that reflects the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, marked by purity and good habits that honor God, and lived within His design. We pray for wisdom regarding the proposal now under consideration, that if it is of the Lord it will move forward with clarity and peace, and if not, that God will clearly close the door. We pray that you will be given patience to wait for His order and not be driven by pressure to hurry.
For your own body after the fall from your two wheeler, we pray for the Lord's healing hand upon you, for relief from pain, for restoration over the next weeks, and for strength to return to your daily duties. Christ was once smitten that living water might flow, and now we simply come by faith and ask, and He hears. We ask Him to turn this difficult and bitter experience toward healing and rest.
For your desire for a home, for provision that is not wasted, for clinics that would use medical training to serve others, and for the desire to create work for the poor and needy, we thank God for these good desires to steward what He provides and to be a blessing. We pray for wisdom in spending, for deliverance from needless and forced expenses, and for guidance to use what God entrusts to you in useful and fruitful ways.
For the painful matter of the house lease and the large amount still unpaid for more than a year, with bank interest increasing and promises broken, we understand the sleepless nights and the strain this has placed on your family. It is right to seek justice and the return of what is owed, and we pray that God will move on the heart of the one who owes you, that the full amount with the needed interest and charges will be restored to you without further loss, and that this burden will be lifted. At the same time, Scripture calls us to leave vengeance to God and not to ask Him to destroy or mutilate those who have wronged us. God watches over those who love Him and He is just, but His desire is that the wicked turn from sin and live. Confession alone is not enough without a real turning away from wrong. We cannot pray for lifelong suffering, loss of hands or tongue, destruction of a home, or harm to children, for that is not how Jesus teaches us to pray for our enemies. Instead we pray as He taught, that God would bring conviction, that the persons who have acted dishonestly would repent and turn away from lying and cheating, make restitution, and find mercy through faith in Jesus. We also pray that God will guard your heart from bitterness and from the thought that you must curse others for God to act.
