Beloved of All
God sees what you and your family are walking through and He hears the prayers you have brought to Him through Jesus Christ. Thank you for sharing these burdens so honestly. I want to pray with you according to Scripture and to gently bring some of these painful questions into the light of what the Bible teaches.
For the jobs in your family, we pray that God will provide what is best and open doors that no one can shut. It is right to ask Him for stable work that fits the training He has given, and to ask Him to let your lives show His goodness to those you serve. At the same time Scripture reminds us that our hearts are to be set on His eternal kingdom more than on any position or salary, and that material things can be taken away quickly. He sometimes allows us to insist on one specific kind of provision when He would have something even better, and we can end up a step below His best when we hold too tightly to our own plan. So we pray not only for permanent work where He wills, but for contentment and trust to receive whatever place He knows is right, without obstacle or loss, and for grace to be faithful in the temporary work you have now, including timely payment and a clean release from the previous hospital without trouble from any department or loss of what is owed.
For the marriage of your family member, we join you in asking for a godly husband who walks according to the Bible, with clean habits and a life that honors the Lord, and for a marriage that is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as God designed. We pray that if the proposal now under consideration is of the Lord it will move forward in peace, and if it is not His will He will clearly close the door. For your own body after the fall from your two wheeler, we pray for healing and restoration in these next weeks. The Bible shows how God preserves life in unexpected ways, as when an infant was kept safe in a small basket on the water while his sister watched from nearby, and how He protects His people even from great danger. We ask Him to shelter you now, to ease pain, to restore strength, and to enable you to return to your daily duties.
For the desire for your own house, for wise use of money, for clinics according to medical training, and for providing work to those who are poor and need help, we pray that God will give wisdom as stewards. We ask Him to guard your earnings from waste and forced or unnecessary spending, and to help you use what He provides in useful ways that bless your household and others.
The matter of the house lease and the large amount you paid has clearly brought deep distress, sleepless nights, family strain, and a heavy burden of bank interest from the gold loan. It is right to ask God for justice and for the return of what is owed. We will pray that the owner repays what was promised, at least enough to cover the rent and the interest and charges so you can manage without loss, and that God will order his heart toward honesty.
At the same time we must not ask God to bring upon this man and his wife the terrible physical and material punishments you listed, such as lifelong suffering, loss of work forever, decay of the tongue, paralysis of hands, ruin of their children, destruction of their house, or being cheated ten times over. Scripture teaches that vengeance belongs to the Lord. When Jesus opened the scroll in the synagogue He read of His coming to bring good news and healing, and He closed the scroll before the words about the day of vengeance, because His first coming was to bring atonement and redemption, not immediate wrath. The day when God will purge the world of unrighteousness and establish true justice and peace is still future. Until then, when He deals with His own people He deals with grace and mercy, and when He deals with the unrepentant sinner He will deal in perfect justice, but in His time.
God is not inactive, powerless, or like a stone in a well. He is not slow as we count slowness. His seeming delay is patience, giving time for repentance, and He restrains evil more than we know. Without His restraining hand the destroyer would have wiped us out, for he is bent on destruction. God still rules over nature and still works miracles, though we do not always see them as we wish. The verse you mentioned about the Lord watching over all who love Him but destroying the wicked, and the cry of Habakkuk asking why God seems silent while the wicked swallow the more righteous, both point to this same truth. God does see, and He will act with perfect justice, but His timing is not ours. A thousand years in His sight is like a day, not because He withholds grace until death, but because He is eternal and His purposes are sure.
It is also not true that God punishes those who love Him and lets the wicked prosper without end, or that faith brings punishment and unbelief brings peace. The honest do suffer in this fallen world, and the wicked may seem to prosper for a season, but God has invested Himself in those who are His. To be chosen and kept by Him means you are on the winning side, even when circumstances feel like you are losing. If you have placed your faith in Jesus, His blood, like the blood on the doorposts which was never to be trampled, is the sign of your protection through faith, not through intellectual explanation. It is a step of faith to trust that blood to keep you.
When we feel God is waiting and not answering, Scripture often shows it is better to be waiting on God than to have God waiting on us until we have hit bottom and have nowhere else to turn. He is very gracious to those who cry out to Him. He does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance, and that includes those who have wronged you. So instead of praying for their lifelong ruin, we pray that God would bring conviction, that they would fear Him, repent, and make restitution. We pray that God would remove sleeplessness and anxiety from your home and give peace, that misunderstanding in the family would be healed, and that your husband would see that God is very near, not nowhere. Faith can feel like it is decreasing minute by minute under pressure, but God is a loving Father who does not give a scorpion when His child asks for bread. He is for you, not against you.
So we pray: Father, in the name of Jesus, provide for this family according to Your wisdom, heal this injury fully, guide this marriage decision, grant a home and wise stewardship if it is Your will, establish honest work that blesses others, and bring justice and repayment in the lease matter without loss. Soften the heart of the one who has acted dishonestly, bring him to truth and repentance, and guard this family from bitterness. Help them to keep waiting on You, trusting that You are alive, faithful, merciful, gracious, and powerful to deliver, and that You will in Your perfect time make all things right. Amen.
