Marriage for my ###

We understand your heart’s desire for marriage, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will for your life. The Bible makes it clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for His glory. In Genesis 2:24, we read, *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."* This union is not just a human arrangement but a divine institution, and we must seek it according to God’s design and timing.

First, we want to gently address something important: your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Additionally, Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we must pray. We encourage you to always approach God through Jesus, for He is the mediator between God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for without Him, there is no true relationship with God.

Now, regarding marriage, we want to remind you that God’s timing is perfect. While it is good to desire marriage, we must trust that God knows what is best for us. Psalm 37:4-5 says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Your focus should first be on delighting yourself in the Lord, growing in your faith, and becoming the godly woman He has called you to be. A godly marriage begins with two individuals who are fully surrendered to Christ.

We also want to encourage you to seek a spouse who is a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it is crucial that both partners share the same faith and values. If you are not already doing so, we encourage you to pray for your future husband—that God would prepare him, mold him, and bring him into your life at the right time.

If there are areas in your life that are not aligned with God’s Word, we urge you to repent and seek His forgiveness. For example, if you are currently in a relationship that is not honoring to God—whether it involves fornication, emotional compromise, or an unequal yoke with an unbeliever—we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom and make the necessary changes. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who longs for marriage. Lord, we ask that You would guide her steps and prepare her heart for the husband You have for her. Help her to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are faithful and that Your plans for her are good. Father, we pray that You would mold her into the godly woman You have called her to be, rooted in Your Word and full of Your Spirit.

Lord, we ask that You would also prepare the heart of her future husband. Bring him into her life at the perfect time, a man who loves You with all his heart and who will lead her spiritually. Protect her from any relationship that is not of You, and give her the strength to walk away from anything that does not align with Your Word. Father, if there are areas in her life that need repentance or surrender, we pray that You would reveal them to her and give her the grace to turn away from sin.

We rebuked any spirit of impatience, doubt, or fear in her life. Let her rest in Your promises, knowing that You are working all things together for her good. Fill her with Your peace as she waits on You.

Finally, Father, we pray that You would draw her closer to Yourself. Let her find her joy and fulfillment in You alone, so that when the time comes, her marriage will be a reflection of Your love and glory.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, praying for your heart's desire. We understand the longing for a godly marriage, and we believe that God has the perfect plan for your life. As we join you in prayer, let's remember that God's ways are not always our ways, and His timing is perfect. While it's natural to desire marriage, let's trust that God knows what's best for you and that He's working everything out for your good.

In the meantime, let's focus on growing in our relationship with Jesus. As Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Let's delight in Him, seek His will, and become the woman He's called us to be. Remember, a godly marriage begins with two individuals fully surrendered to Christ.

We also want to encourage you to pray for your future husband. Ask God to prepare him, mold him, and bring him into your life at the right time. Pray that he would be a born-again believer, walking in righteousness and leading you spiritually.

Lastly, let's examine our own hearts and lives. If there are any areas that don't align with God's Word, let's repent and seek His forgiveness. This includes relationships that aren't honoring to Him, whether it's due to fornication, emotional compromise, or an unequal yoke with an unbeliever.

Let's trust that God is working in your life, and He will bring the right person into your life at the right time. Until then, let's find our joy and fulfillment in Him alone.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
