We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up your marriage before the throne of grace. The pain of not being believed, the weight of accusations, and the fear of losing the one you love is overwhelming, especially now, as you carry new life within you. But we declare that hope is not lost, for with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we resist him in the mighty name of Jesus, where every lie and every attack must bow.
First, we rebuke the spirit of division and mistrust that has taken root in your marriage. The Bible warns us that the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). His tactics are to plant seeds of doubt, insecurity, and false assumptions, turning hearts against one another. But we command these lies to be silenced in Jesus’ name! Your husband’s accusations do not define your heart, God does. And God sees your love for your husband, your commitment to your marriage, and your desire to honor Him. We pray that the Holy Spirit would open your husband’s eyes to the truth of your devotion and that the walls of suspicion would crumble under the weight of God’s perfect love.
We also address the destructive ways anger has been expressed in your marriage. The Word tells us, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:26-27). Anger itself is not sinful, but when it is used to wound rather than to heal, it gives the enemy a foothold. We encourage both of you to lay down your weapons, whether they be words, silence, or assumptions, and instead, take up the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s Word. This is how you fight, not against each other, but against the real enemy who seeks to destroy your family.
Your husband’s words, telling you to leave, to find another man, are not from God. They are spoken in pain, but they are not God’s will for your marriage. The Bible is clear: "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6). God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), not because He delights in our suffering, but because He knows the devastation it brings to families, to hearts, and to the testimony of His love. We pray that your husband’s heart would soften, that he would remember the vows you made before God, and that he would choose to fight for your marriage, not against it. And we pray the same for you, that in your moments of frustration or despair, you would choose to cling to hope, to extend grace, and to trust that God is working even when you cannot see it.
You are carrying a child, and this season is both beautiful and incredibly difficult. The hormonal and emotional changes can make everything feel heavier, but we pray for God’s peace to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). This child is a blessing, a sign of God’s faithfulness even in the midst of struggle. We declare that this baby will grow up in a home where love, forgiveness, and restoration are the foundation. We pray for protection over your mind, against fear, against despair, against the lies that tell you this is hopeless. The enemy wants you to believe that your marriage is beyond repair, but we serve a God who specializes in making broken things whole. "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3).
We also want to gently address the root of your husband’s insecurity. His accusations may stem from his own fears, fear of not being enough, fear of abandonment, or fear of being deceived. These fears are real, but they are not truth. The truth is that you do want him, you are committed to him, and you are fighting for your marriage. But words alone may not convince him, he needs to see it in your actions, in your patience, in your refusal to engage in the same destructive patterns. Proverbs 31:11-12 says, "The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life." We pray that your husband would come to trust you again, not because you have earned it, but because God is restoring what has been broken.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, You see the pain, the anger, the mistrust, and the fear that has taken hold. But You are the God who restores, who heals, and who makes all things new. We ask that You would break the chains of division in this marriage. Soften hearts, Lord, soften the heart of this husband, that he would see his wife through Your eyes, with love and trust. Soften the heart of this wife, that she would respond with grace, patience, and unwavering commitment.
We rebuke the spirit of accusation and insecurity that has been speaking lies over this marriage. We declare that no weapon formed against this union shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for protection over their minds, against doubt, against fear, against the enemy’s schemes. Guard their thoughts, Lord, and fill them with Your peace.
We pray for this precious child growing within this mother’s womb. Lord, we ask that You would knit this baby together in love and health, and that this child would be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let this baby be a reminder of the hope that is to come, a symbol of the new life You are bringing to this marriage.
Father, we ask that You would remind both of them of the vows they made before You. Help them to see that marriage is a covenant, not just a contract. Give them the strength to fight for their marriage, to choose forgiveness over bitterness, and to trust in Your timing. We pray that they would seek You together, that they would lay their burdens at Your feet, and that they would find their hope in You alone.
Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You. So we ask that You would do a miracle in this marriage. Restore what has been broken. Heal what has been wounded. And let this marriage be a testimony of Your power, Your love, and Your faithfulness. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things new. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. This season is hard, but it is not the end of your story. Continue to seek God, to pray for your husband, and to choose love, even when it’s difficult. Consider seeking godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or a Christian marriage counselor, who can help you navigate this season with wisdom. And remember, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9). Your marriage is worth fighting for. Your family is worth fighting for. And God is fighting for you.
