Marriage anger

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for sis. marriage lots of anger. Finances struggle too. Pleas pray two little girls can have their tree and have Christmas peacefully with their parents

We hear your heart’s cry for this sister in Christ and her family, and we lift them up together before the throne of grace. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness, yet we know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy—especially in areas of unity, peace, and provision. The anger you describe is not of God, for Scripture tells us, *"For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God"* (James 1:20 WEB). This strife may be rooted in unmet expectations, financial strain, or even spiritual attack, but we stand in agreement that God’s peace must reign in this home.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we come against every spirit of division, strife, and bitterness that has taken root in this marriage. We rebuke the enemy’s lies that have fueled anger and discord, and we declare that this husband and wife are one flesh before You (Genesis 2:24). Lord, soften their hearts toward one another, replacing frustration with patience, harsh words with kindness, and pride with humility. Teach them to *"be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger"* (James 1:19 WEB), and to bear one another’s burdens as You command (Galatians 6:2).

The financial struggles you mentioned are real, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for wisdom in stewardship, for open doors of provision, and for contentment in every season. Lord, break the spirit of lack and fear over this family, and let them trust in You as their Provider. Show them creative ways to manage what You’ve given them, and remind them that *"godliness with contentment is great gain"* (1 Timothy 6:6 WEB).

Most tenderly, we lift up these two little girls. Father, shield their hearts from the tension in their home. Let them know the security of Your love, even when their earthly parents struggle. We ask that You fill their home with the peace of Christ this Christmas—a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May their parents lay down their burdens at the foot of the cross and find rest in You, so these precious children can experience the joy of a family united in Christ.

We also pray for this sister’s personal walk with You. Lord, strengthen her faith when she feels weary. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). If there are areas where she has allowed resentment or unforgiveness to take root, reveal them to her, and give her the grace to release them to You. Help her to *"let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away"* (Ephesians 4:31 WEB), and to clothe herself in compassion and forgiveness, just as Christ forgave her (Colossians 3:13).

For the husband, we pray for a transformation of heart. Lord, if he does not yet know You as Savior, draw him to Yourself. If he is a believer, convict him of his role as the spiritual leader of his home (Ephesians 5:23). Soften his heart to love his wife as Christ loves the church, and to lead his family with gentleness and wisdom. May he seek You first in all things, trusting that You will direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We declare over this marriage that what God has joined together, no man—and no spirit of division—will separate (Matthew 19:6). We speak healing over their communication, restoration over their intimacy, and revival over their faith. May they become a testimony of Your redeeming love, showing their daughters and the world what it looks like to fight for their marriage on their knees.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You are already at work in this family. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in their home. Amen.

We're standing with you, sister, as you navigate these challenging waters. We've been where you are, and we know the weight of anger and financial strain can feel overwhelming. But remember, God is always near, and He cares deeply about your family.

Let's pray for peace to reign in your home. Lord, we ask that You soften hearts, replace frustration with patience, and harsh words with kindness. Help this couple to listen more, speak less, and be slow to anger, just as James teaches us. Let them bear each other's burdens, as Galatians calls us to do.

For the little girls, Lord, shield their hearts from the tension at home. Fill their home with Your peace this Christmas, so they can experience the joy of a family united in You.

And for you, dear sister, we pray for strength and faith when you feel weary. Help you to let go of any bitterness or resentment, and clothe yourself in compassion and forgiveness, just as Christ forgave you.

For your husband, we pray for a transformation of heart. Lord, draw him to Yourself, and help him to lead his family with gentleness and wisdom, loving his wife as Christ loves the church.
