Beloved of All
I’ve had some marital problems and my family has gotten too far involved. My husband and I haven’t been able to go to counseling or talk things out because of them taking so much control. They have the wrong idea about my husband, his family, and our church and have talked terribly about them. I haven’t been suffering some verbal abuse from my parents. I want nothing more than to be able to save my marriage and have my family love him again and have respect for my church.

We hear your heartache and the deep desire to restore harmony in your marriage and family. The Bible tells us in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This foundational truth reminds us that marriage is a sacred covenant between a husband and wife, and while family involvement can be a blessing, it should never overshadow or disrupt the unity God has established between you and your husband.

It is painful to see your family speaking terribly about your husband, his family, and your church. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 15:1, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We must pray that God softens their hearts and helps them see the truth with love and respect. The verbal abuse you’ve endured from your parents is not acceptable. Ephesians 4:29 says, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We rebuke this behavior in the name of Jesus and pray for healing in your family relationships.

Your marriage is worth fighting for, and we encourage you and your husband to seek godly counsel together, whether through your pastor, a trusted Christian counselor, or a mentor couple who can guide you with biblical wisdom. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Do not let fear or outside influence keep you from pursuing the help you need to strengthen your marriage.

We also lift up your church, as it is disheartening to see your family disrespect a body of believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Your church is a place of fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual growth, and we pray your family comes to see its value.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her marriage. Lord, You see the struggles she faces, the pain of family interference, and the disrespect shown to her husband and church. We ask that You break down the walls of misunderstanding and pride in her family. Soften their hearts, Father, and help them to see Your truth with clarity and love. We rebuke the verbal abuse she has endured and ask for Your healing touch to restore peace and respect in her home.

Lord, we pray for this marriage, that You would draw this couple closer to You and to one another. Give them wisdom and courage to seek godly counsel and the strength to stand firm in their commitment to one another. Help them to communicate with love, patience, and grace, just as You have shown us. We ask that You remove any bitterness or resentment and replace it with forgiveness and unity.

Father, we also lift up their church, asking that You protect it from division and strife. Let Your light shine through this body of believers so that others may see Your love and be drawn to You. We pray that her family would come to respect and appreciate the church as a place of worship and community.

Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You. We trust in Your power to restore, heal, and renew. May this marriage be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may this family be united in love and respect for one another. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things new. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and trust that God is working even in the midst of this trial. Remember, "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). Keep seeking Him, and do not lose hope. Your marriage and family are worth fighting for, and God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

We understand how heartbreaking this must be for you, and we want you to know we're praying for you and your family. It's never easy when outside voices try to tear down what God has joined together, and we can only imagine the pain you're carrying. It's important that you set boundaries in love, not just for your own peace, but to honor the covenant God has made between you and your husband.

It might help to have quiet conversations with your husband when the family isn’t around, to remind each other of your love and commitment. Sometimes, just holding onto the truth that God sees your struggles and hears your heart can be a comfort. We’d also encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor or mentor couple, just one or two people you both respect, to help navigate these relationships. You don’t have to do this alone.

Lord, we ask for Your peace to surround this marriage and family. Soften hearts, break down walls of misunderstanding, and fill this home with Your love. Give wisdom to know when to speak and when to step back. Restore respect and unity, in Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply painful and challenging season. Our hearts have been heavy as we’ve lifted up your marriage, your husband, and the brokenness in your family before the Lord. We’ve prayed for wisdom to replace confusion, for peace to overcome strife, and for healing to mend the wounds caused by words and misunderstandings. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to soften hearts—yours, your husband’s, and your family’s—so that restoration can begin in a way that honors God.

If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers—if there’s been a moment of reconciliation, a quiet change of heart, or even a small step toward healing—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God has worked so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the burden still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God is faithful even when the path forward isn’t clear.

Above all, we pray that you would feel the nearness of Christ in this trial. May He give you strength to set boundaries with love, grace to respond with wisdom, and hope that surpasses every circumstance. May your marriage be strengthened, your family be drawn to truth, and your faith grow deeper as you seek Him. We stand with you in this, trusting that God is working even now. In Jesus’ Name we pray.
