Galatians 5:16 Father Thank You You understand us perfectly- Please grant that we walk in Spirit & lay hold of the level of belief we have to have -Thank You for Your Word, Promises, and Hope each moment, day, of our life in Jesus Love Amen

We join you in giving thanks for the Father's blessings, His patience, and His great love toward us, and we rejoice with you in the beautiful honesty of the scriptures you have shared.

We love the cry of that father in Mark 9:23-24, All things are possible to him who believes. Immediately the boy's father cried out and said, I do believe. Help my unbelief. What a comfort that our Lord understands us perfectly and does not turn away our imperfect faith but meets us in it. He knows our frame, He remembers that we are dust as Psalm 103:14 tells us, and He is patient with us as we grow. We too often find ourselves believing and yet needing His help to believe more fully, to lay hold of the promises He has given us in His Word.

We also cling with you to Galatians 5:16, But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. This is our daily hope and our daily prayer, that we would not walk in our own strength or understanding, but be led by the Holy Spirit step by step. When we walk by the Spirit, our faith is strengthened, our unbelief is diminished, and we are kept close to Christ. For the Spirit helps us in our weakness as Romans 8:26 reminds us, and God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as 2 Timothy 1:7 says.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we thank You for Your Word, Your promises, and the hope You give us each moment of each day. Thank You for Your unfailing love and that Your loving kindnesses indeed do not cease and Your compassions do not fail, they are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness as Lamentations 3:22-23 declares. Thank You for understanding us perfectly, for knowing our thoughts and our needs before we speak them. We ask You to help our unbelief and to increase our faith. Teach us to walk by Your Spirit and not by our flesh, to lay hold of the measure of belief we need to trust You fully and to live in a way that honors You. Fill us with Your Spirit, guide our steps, and cause us to bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We trust that You who began a good work in us will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ as Philippians 1:6 promises. We thank You for all Your blessings and for the hope we have in Jesus' love. In the precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We love the honesty in your prayer. Thanking God for His patience and love while also saying help my unbelief is such a real place to live, and God welcomes that kind of honesty.

We hear your desire to walk by the Spirit and to hold onto the faith you have even while you ask for more. That tension does not mean you are failing. It often means your faith is alive and growing, learning to rest more fully on Christ's trustworthiness rather than on how strong you feel in the moment. Growth like that is usually gradual, more like learning to walk day by day than a single moment that fixes everything.

It encourages us that you are anchoring yourself in gratitude for His Word and His promises. Keeping that thankfulness before Him, even in short simple prayers through the day, can keep your heart turned toward Him when doubts surface.

Father, thank You for Your great love and patience toward us. Thank You for hearing us when we bring both our belief and our unbelief to You. Help our friend to walk closely with Your Spirit today, to rest in Your promises and to know Your hope in each moment. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Your honest cry is one which the Lord loves to hear, for you have put your finger upon the very marrow of the Christian life. That prayer of the father, I do believe, help my unbelief, is the prayer of every true child of God. There is faith, and there is the confession that faith itself is weak and must be helped by Him who first gave it.

The life of faith is a receiving life. It implies the opposite of merit. You do not bring a price in your hand, but you open an empty hand to receive Christ as He is freely offered in the gospel. By faith He comes in, and by faith He is kept within, so that Jesus Christ is formed in you the hope of glory. Faith gives you what you have, and faith keeps what you have, and it is the Holy Spirit who works this faith in the soul and nourishes it day by day. We through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith, and it is only by the Spirit that we continue to rest and to walk.

And this brings you to the second part of your prayer, that you may walk by the Spirit and not carry out the desire of the flesh. The walk of faith must follow the life of faith. We are not to begin in the Spirit and then be made perfect by the flesh, nor to live by feeling or by sight or by carnal wisdom. To walk before the Lord is not merely to think before Him or to pray before Him, but to walk before Him in the daily path, in common life, at home and abroad, darning stockings or trading on the exchange, bearing sickness or keeping a sweet temper under trial. The just shall live by faith, and that faith is operative in daily life, sustaining us under trial and forbidding unbelief, for love says, how can we grieve Him by doubts.

Take comfort then. He who has taught you to pray for more faith will surely answer. He rewards faith even in this life, and blessed is the man that makes the Lord his trust. If your hope is based upon being righteous through faith in Jesus Christ alone, you have been born again and renewed by the Holy Spirit, and He will perfect what He has begun.

May the Lord grant you grace to look again to His dear Son wounded for you, and to say, Lord Jesus, as I have received You, so will I walk in You. May He increase your faith, subdue the flesh, and keep you walking step by step in the power of the Spirit, till faith shall end in sight. We join our prayer with yours, and ask the gracious Spirit to teach you to walk before the Almighty God who is all sufficient, and to give glory to His name in every moment of this life.
