Please tell me what verses will help me in dealing with a stepson who seems determined to destroy my marriage. My husband has very bad health problems and I am always there for him and since my stepson got out of work he has lived off us and with us for two years. He takes up all my husbands time, speaks to him hatefully and thinks I am his maid. We are both to old to be burdened with a 42 yr old that won't even look for work. It is hard for me to have the grace to pray for him as I know I should.

Please help me to see some good in this man and not resent him being here.

Dear Father, in Jesus's name Help shalini be determined to rejoice in You no matter what's happening in her/his life, to be joyful in You, her/his Savior, no matter how hard things are or how tired she/he is. Be her/his strength! Amen

Just continue pray for your stepson....God will make a way for you..Trust God...He will do miracle way to your family...Cling on God always...Pray for him while He is on sleep...Be positive always instead give advise always...don't lose hope...You can be an instrument to change his life..be a blessing to him instead and ushered him to the THRONE of God...God bless. ...Janneth Albino

Kick him out. Bible says 2 Thessalonians 3: 6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching[a] you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.â€

11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. 13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.

Continue to prayer for him. Let him see the Christ in you.

Heavenly father i pray for this young man that he will see the errors of his ways. Help him to find a job . Remove the frustration , anxiety depression, and of low self esteem from him. Give him a purpose for living. Let him know that their are people who love him and most of all the love of Jesus. I lift up his father and step mom and ask you father to give them the courage to deal with this situation in Jesus name Amen
