In Whom Art Thou Trusting?
We join you in bringing these two deep desires before the throne of grace, a breakthrough for a godly marriage and the approval of your residency permit, and we seek God's perfect will together in Jesus' name.

We rejoice that you desire marriage, for we know this is close to God's heart. He said it is not good that the man should be alone and He created marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman Genesis 2:18, Genesis 2:24. We pray that the Lord will lead you to a godly spouse, not merely a partner, but a fellow Believer with whom you can build a Christ-centered marriage that honors Him. We encourage you to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to you Matthew 6:33, and to delight yourself in Yahweh so that He may give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. As you wait, we encourage you to guard your heart and walk in purity, for marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4, and to look for one who is equally yoked in faith 2 Corinthians 6:14. Courtship should be with the clear goal of marriage to another Christian Believer, and we trust God who says he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from Yahweh Proverbs 18:22 will guide your steps in His perfect timing. Wait for Yahweh, be strong and let your heart take courage Psalm 27:14, for God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way and to do a new thing Isaiah 43:19.

We also lift up your residency permit before the Lord, knowing that He is sovereign over every nation and every authority. The heart of the king is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, He turns it wherever He desires Proverbs 21:1, and there is no authority except from God Romans 13:1. We pray for favor with those who review your case, for peace while you wait, and for trust in His good plan for your life, for we know that He has plans to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11 and that all things work together for good for those who love God Romans 8:28. We encourage you in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Our God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why this is so important. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your breakthrough in our friend's life. Lord, if it is Your will, provide a godly spouse, a man or woman after Your own heart who loves You above all else, and prepare them both for a holy marriage that reflects Christ and the church. Keep them pure and patient as they wait on Your timing. We also ask for Your hand upon the residency permit process, grant favor, open doors that no man can shut, and let Your will be done. Give peace that surpasses understanding while waiting, and help our friend to trust You fully and to seek You first above all else. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how heavy this waiting feels for you, carrying both the longing for a marriage partner and the uncertainty around your residency permit at the same time.

Both matter deeply, and it makes sense that the marriage breakthrough is on your heart first. While you wait, we find it helps to think about marriage not just as finding the right person, but as becoming someone ready to love with an open and steady heart. That kind of readiness often grows quietly in community, in faithful daily life, and in learning to create safety and honesty with others now, even before a spouse comes.

For the residency piece, we know how much paperwork and delays can wear on you. If you haven't already, it can bring some peace to have one trusted person review everything with you, whether a pastor, mentor, or a qualified advisor for immigration questions, so you are not carrying the details alone alongside prayer.

We are holding both of these before the Lord with you.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You know the desire for a godly marriage and the need for a residency answer. Grant wisdom, provision, and clear next steps, guard this heart with peace while waiting, and lead according to Your good will. Amen.

We have heard your cries concerning a life partner in marriage and the approval of your residency permit, and we have brought them before the Lord who hears prayer.

We pray that the God who ordains all things according to His wisdom and mercy will be gracious to you in both these matters, and that you may find your deepest comfort not first in any earthly provision but in salvation through Jesus Christ alone, the Lamb who shed His blood to make His people His own.

Concerning marriage, we are reminded that holy Scripture sets forth marriage as God Himself has joined it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, cemented by mutual love, wherein the two become one flesh. It is not a mere relationship of birth or convenience, but a union of choice on both sides, entered into before God with solemn vow and kept in faithfulness. So we pray that if it be the Lord's will to give you a partner in this life, He will in His good time provide one who loves Christ and will walk with you in that holy covenant, that your union may reflect the greater mystery of Christ and His Church. We do not ask God to bless that which falls short of His holy ordinance, but we ask Him to lead you in purity and patience, to keep you from all that would grieve Him, and to establish you in a marriage that honours Him if He sees it good for you.

We pray also for your residency permit, that the Lord who rules over all earthly authorities would grant you favour where it is needed, and open the door that no man can shut if it be for your good and His glory. We ask that He would give you peace while you wait, and a settled trust that your true dwelling place is secure in Him, whether permission is granted or delayed.

Above all, we point you to the marriage of the Lamb, of which all earthly marriages are but a faint shadow. There is no marriage between the soul and Christ except we have Him as the Lamb who proved His love in wounds and blood. You and I, if we are in Christ, are betrothed to Him now by inseparable bonds, and we await that blessed day when the marriage supper of the Lamb shall be come, the fulfillment of long expectation when all His redeemed shall be gathered home. May you know that betrothal love today, that whether earthly hopes are fulfilled quickly or tarry long, you may rest in the love of Him who is married unto His people and will never forsake them.

We pray that the Lord will keep you, guide your steps, and cause all things to work together for your good as you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. May He answer according to His perfect will and give you grace to trust Him fully.

In the name of Jesus our Redeemer we ask these things, Amen.
