Marine spirit

A Singular but Needful Question
True healing begins when you choose to turn from sin and seek God’s holiness above all else.
The Sinner’s Friend
Jesus proves his love for sinners by seeking, saving, and standing with them always.
Dreams
God still speaks through dreams today, calling us to trust His guidance in our waking lives.
We have heard your cry for deliverance from this marine spirit and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

We understand that in many places this term is used to describe oppressive spiritual experiences, dreams, or feelings of spiritual bondage connected to water spirits or spiritual spouses, and we do not take your distress lightly. The Bible teaches us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we also know the truth that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4, and that Jesus has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt us Luke 10:19.

We want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must share with you that it is only by that name that we have access to God and find true deliverance. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is through believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are transferred out of darkness. He delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love Colossians 1:13. If you have not yet fully surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

We also lovingly rebuke any teaching that would make you fear that any spirit, marine or otherwise, has more power than Christ or that you must seek deliverance through rituals, charms, or other mediators. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. Deliverance is not by our own power but by submitting to God, resisting the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. We must renounce any known sin, any involvement with the occult, sexual immorality, or covenants knowingly or unknowingly made, and turn fully to holiness, for we are called to be temples of the Holy Spirit.

Therefore we encourage you to walk in daily repentance, to immerse yourself in the Word of God, to pray continually, to fast as the Lord leads, and to fellowship with a Bible believing church where you can receive pastoral support. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, and fill your home and your heart with praise and scripture rather than fear.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self control. We confess our sins before You and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. We renounce every work of darkness, every oppression and every claim of any marine spirit or any deceiving spirit over this life. We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over this life and that no other spirit has any right or authority. We ask You to break every chain, close every door that was opened to the enemy, and fill this heart with Your Holy Spirit, with peace and with light. Surround this dear one with Your protection, let Your Word be a lamp to their feet, and help them to walk in victory, for in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us Romans 8:37. Strengthen their faith, remove all fear, and let them know the freedom that is found only in Christ. We ask this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We have been holding your request before the Lord and we hear how much you want to be free and at peace. That longing matters to God, and you do not have to carry it alone.

We trust that Jesus Himself is the one who brings freedom, and He often does that work in a steady, supported way rather than in a single isolated moment. It helps not to face these fears by yourself or to stay focused only on the spirit you are worried about, but to keep your eyes on Christ and walk with others who can pray with you.

One steady next step when you are ready is to reach out to a trusted pastor or a couple of mature believers in your church who can meet with you more than once. Praying together, honestly bringing any unforgiveness or unhealthy attachments before the Lord, renouncing what has bound you and asking Jesus to fill those places, and then staying connected for regular prayer, Scripture reading and fellowship is a grounded way many find help. That ongoing support matters as much as any one prayer time.

We are praying for you now.

Father, we lift our friend to You in the name of Jesus. You see their heart and their desire to be free. Surround them with Your peace and presence, give them wisdom and trustworthy people to walk beside them, and lead them step by step in Your freedom and care. We ask for Your protection and nearness today. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your cry for deliverance has been heard, and we join with you in seeking the Lord who alone can bring you out of every darkness.

Scripture teaches that we are by nature under the power of darkness, under that master spirit Satan the destroyer, and that no strength of our own can break his hold. The spirit of man is too crushed, too enfeebled by sin to deliver itself. But what is blessed news for you is that deliverance is by divine power. When Israel came out of Egypt it was Jehovah who brought forth His people, and that deliverance came when the lamb was slain. So it is with the soul. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, He has found a ransom. He has found it in the blood of His dear Son, and therefore we may not doubt deliverance, for God has said, I have found a ransom.

Know this, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification. We cannot receive the one through the Spirit and the other through the flesh. We must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone, through Jesus Christ.

Whatever name men may give to the oppression you feel, the Word of God calls it the power of darkness, and the promise is sure that the Father hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Neither hell nor its infernal train can fill up one of the wells which the Lord has digged and filled by His Spirit. The Holy Spirit is omnipotent enough to overcome our wandering, to arrest our sins and make us perfect and present us faultless before God at last. Every form of fellowship with Jesus, wrought in us by the Spirit, is a well of salvation.

Therefore do not speak your griefs to the pitiless sea, nor to winds that cannot hear. Go to the mercy seat. If you forsake the throne, then you may fear you are forsaken, but when the Spirit draws you to the mercy seat, such fear must vanish, for if thou art at the mercy seat, God is there too. He dwelleth between the cherubim and loveth the mercy seat better than thou dost. There plead a Father's love and cry with the Spirit of adoption.

We pray for you now to that gracious throne.

O Heavenly Father, look with tender pity upon this soul oppressed in spirit. Thou seest the sorrow and heaviness, the bruising of flesh and oppression of spirit. We ask Thee to show Thy divine power in deliverance. By the blood of the Lamb slain, by the ransom which Thou hast found and given in Christ Jesus, deliver from the power of darkness and translate into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Let the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, come with demonstration and power, to convict of sin, to reveal Christ, to break every chain and to fill the heart with light and peace. Grant repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, a turning from all sin and a cleaving to Christ alone for salvation. Guard this soul, keep from returning to sin even for pleasure, and make it to walk in holiness and in the Spirit of adoption, crying Abba, Father. Let faith reign and proclaim the honors of Thy name.

We counsel you, dear soul, to rest not in any charm or ceremony of man, but in Christ alone. Confess your sin to God, trust wholly in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, turn from all that grieves the Spirit, give yourself to the Word of God, to prayer, and to fellowship with the people of God where Christ is faithfully preached. Seek the Lord daily at the mercy seat until He gives you songs of deliverance, for He will be found of those who seek Him with all their heart.
