MANY Of You On Here Are Lukewarm, And You Will Get Spewed Out By Jesus!

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked," (Revelation 3:16,17).

We hear your cry, and it echoes the very words of our Lord to the church in Laodicea. You are right to sound the alarm, for the lukewarm condition of the heart is a grave danger before God. The warning in Revelation 3 is not merely for a single church in ancient times—it is for all who claim the name of Christ yet live with divided hearts. We must take this seriously, for the Lord does not tolerate spiritual complacency.

The church today is often rich in programs, entertainment, and self-help messages, but poor in true repentance, holiness, and dependence on God. Many have grown comfortable in their sin, believing they are spiritually secure while their lives bear little fruit. But Jesus says, *"You are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked."* These are strong words, but they are spoken in love, for the Lord disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). If we are not hot for Him—if we are not on fire with passion for His Word, His will, and His ways—then we are in danger of being spat out of His mouth.

We must examine our hearts. Are we living as though we have no need of God? Do we rely on our own strength, our own wisdom, our own resources? The Laodicean church said, *"I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing,"* but they were spiritually bankrupt. True riches are found in Christ alone. True wealth is measured by our obedience, our hunger for righteousness, and our willingness to surrender all to Him.

Let us repent of our lukewarmness. Let us turn away from the idols of comfort, convenience, and cultural acceptance. The Lord calls us to be either hot or cold—fully committed or not at all. There is no middle ground in the Kingdom of God. If we are not actively pursuing Him, we are drifting away.

We pray now, with urgency and sincerity:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We confess that too often, we have been lukewarm—content with a form of godliness but denying its power. Forgive us, Lord. We have allowed the cares of this world, the love of comfort, and the fear of man to dull our passion for You. We have been rich in our own eyes but poor in Yours. We have been blind to our own sin and naked before Your holiness.

Father, we ask that You would ignite a fire within us that cannot be quenched. Break our hearts for what breaks Yours. Give us a hunger and thirst for righteousness that drives us to Your Word, to prayer, and to obedience. Help us to see ourselves as You see us—not as self-sufficient but as utterly dependent on Your grace. Strip away our pride, our complacency, and our love for the things of this world. Clothe us in the righteousness of Christ, that we may stand before You holy and blameless.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lukewarmness in our own lives and in the church. We declare that we will no longer be satisfied with a half-hearted faith. We choose today to be hot for You—to love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We choose to walk in holiness, to obey Your commands, and to live lives that bring glory to Your name.

We pray for our brothers and sisters who are struggling with complacency. Awaken them, Lord. Shake them from their spiritual slumber. Let them hear Your voice calling them to repentance and renewal. May they turn from their lukewarm ways and run after You with all their hearts.

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We thank You that Your grace is sufficient to transform us from lukewarm to on fire for You. Help us to live in such a way that the world sees Your power at work in us. May our lives be a testimony to Your goodness, Your holiness, and Your love.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, for apart from Him, we can do nothing. Amen."*

To those reading this: Do not be deceived. The Lord is not mocked. If you have been lukewarm, today is the day to repent. Do not wait until tomorrow, for tomorrow is not promised. Surrender your heart fully to Christ. Seek Him with all that you are. Study His Word, pray without ceasing, and walk in obedience. The time for half-hearted faith is over. The Lord is calling you to a deeper, more passionate relationship with Him. Will you answer?

We hear you, dear friend, and we're right there with you, feeling the weight of Revelation 3:16 echoing in our hearts. It's a sobering reminder, isn't it? The Lord's words to the church in Laodicea are as relevant today as they were then. We've all been guilty of spiritual complacency at one time or another, haven't we? It's easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, in the comfort of our routines, and forget that our first love should be Jesus.

But let's not stay in that place of self-condemnation. Instead, let's turn our hearts towards Him, seeking His face with a renewed passion. Let's ask Him to forgive us for the times we've been more concerned with our own comfort than with His will. Let's ask Him to help us see ourselves as He sees us, to strip away the pride and self-sufficiency that can so easily creep in, and to clothe us in His righteousness.

Let's not forget, friend, that God is in the business of transforming hearts. He specializes in taking the lukewarm and setting them on fire for Him. He's done it before, and He can do it again. We just need to be open, to be willing, to be surrendered.

So, let's pray together, shall we? Let's ask the Lord to help us, to help the church, to help each other. Let's ask Him to help us be hot, not just for Him, but for His Word, for His will, for His ways. Let's ask Him to help us live lives that bring glory to His name.

And remember, friend, it's not about perfection. It's about progress. It's about taking one step at a time, one day at a time, closer to Him. So, let's start today. Let's choose today to be hot for Jesus. Let's choose today to live lives that matter.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with this urgent and heartfelt prayer request. It is a solemn privilege to stand in agreement with you as we lift up the concern for those who may be growing lukewarm in their faith. We have prayed fervently that hearts would be awakened, that conviction would lead to repentance, and that every believer would be stirred to a deeper, more passionate walk with our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the Holy Spirit has already moved in powerful ways—if hearts have been revived, if eyes have been opened to spiritual poverty, and if lives have been surrendered afresh to Christ—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God has answered so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If, however, the need remains and the call to repentance still echoes in your spirit, we encourage you to post this request again. We stand ready to continue interceding with you, pleading for revival in the Church and for souls to be drawn back to the fire of their first love. May the Lord grant us all the grace to examine our own hearts, to seek Him with wholehearted devotion, and to walk in the fullness of His purpose.

We pray this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus. Amen.
