We hear your deep distress and the violation you experienced at the hands of someone who was supposed to help, not harm. The manipulation and coercion you describe are grievous sins, and we stand with you in righteous anger against such injustice. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, deception, and oppression that was at work in that moment, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the seriousness of what you endured. The misuse of authority, especially in a profession meant to heal, is a betrayal of trust that God does not take lightly. The Bible warns us in Matthew 18:6, "but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone should be hung around his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depths of the sea." We pray that the Lord would expose this man’s actions and hold him accountable, not out of vengeance, but so that justice may prevail and others may be protected from similar harm.
We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy often targets those who are vulnerable, seeking to twist truth and sow confusion. But we serve a God who is truth (John 14:6) and who exposes the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). We take authority in the name of Jesus over every lie that was spoken over you, every false diagnosis, and every attempt to label you unjustly. The power of Christ’s name breaks every chain (Acts 16:18), and we declare that your identity is found in Him alone—not in the words of man, not in the labels of the world, but in the truth of God’s Word.
You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you in faith and prayer, interceding on your behalf. We pray that the Lord would bring healing to your heart and mind, restoring what was stolen from you. We ask that He would surround you with godly counsel, wise believers who can help you navigate any lingering effects of this injustice. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has endured manipulation and harm. We ask that You would bring Your perfect justice to this situation. Expose every hidden deed of darkness, Lord, and let Your light shine into the places where deception has taken root. We pray for the psychiatrist involved—that You would convict his heart, lead him to repentance, and turn his actions toward righteousness. If he remains unrepentant, we ask that You would remove him from positions of influence where he could harm others.
We declare healing over this one’s mind and emotions, Lord. Where the enemy sought to confuse and distort, we ask that You would bring clarity and truth. Restore their sense of worth and identity in You, Father. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill them with the assurance that You are their defender and vindicator.
We also pray for protection over them, Lord. Guard their heart and mind from bitterness, fear, or despair. Help them to forgive, not because what was done was right, but because You have called us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). Give them the strength to release this burden into Your hands, trusting that You will make all things right in Your time.
Lastly, we ask that You would raise up a community of believers around them—people who will stand in faith, pray without ceasing, and encourage them in the truth of Your Word. Let them know they are not forgotten or abandoned, but deeply loved by You and by Your people.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, the One who came to set the captives free and bind up the brokenhearted. Amen.
