We join with you in lifting this business plan before the Lord, recognizing that all wisdom, provision, and success come from Him alone. The Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Yet we must also remember that our ultimate purpose in business—or in any endeavor—is to glorify God, not merely to pursue financial gain. Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our prayers must align with His will, not just our desires for prosperity.
We also recall the words of James 4:13-15, which caution against presumptuous planning: *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live and do this or that.'"*
Before we pray, we must ask: Is this business plan submitted to the Lordship of Christ? Does it honor Him in its methods, ethics, and goals? Are you seeking first His Kingdom, or is the focus primarily on financial breakthroughs? If there is any area where this plan contradicts biblical principles—whether in honesty, integrity, fairness, or stewardship—we urge you to repent and realign it with Scripture. Proverbs 10:22 tells us, *"Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it."* But wealth pursued outside of God’s will brings only emptiness and, ultimately, judgment.
Let us also remember that God is not a means to an end—He is not a cosmic vending machine where we insert prayers and receive blessings. Our hearts must be right before Him. If there is any greed, dishonesty, or self-reliance in this endeavor, we must confess it now. The Lord resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).
With these truths in mind, we pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that all things are in Your hands. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance over this business plan, that it may be aligned with Your will and purposes. Lord, if there is any area where this plan has been shaped by worldly ambition rather than Kingdom priorities, convict and correct it. Grant clarity of mind, integrity of heart, and diligence in execution. We pray that every strategy would be bathed in prayer and submitted to Your authority, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Father, we ask for Your favor—not for selfish gain, but so that this business may be a testimony of Your goodness and a tool for advancing Your Kingdom. Provide the resources needed, but guard against the love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). May this endeavor bring glory to Your name, not just financial success. Open doors that no man can shut, but close those that would lead away from Your perfect will.
We rebuke any spirit of greed, fear, or self-sufficiency that may be lurking in this plan. Let it be purified by Your fire, Lord. May the work of our hands be established (Psalm 90:17), not for our own fame, but for the expansion of Your Kingdom. If it is Your will for this business to prosper, let it be so—but only if it aligns with Your eternal purposes.
We also pray for the salvation of those who will interact with this business—customers, employees, and partners. May they see Christ in the way it operates and be drawn to the Gospel. Let every financial blessing be a tool for generosity, not hoarding, so that others may be blessed through it (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Finally, Lord, we surrender this plan entirely to You. If it is not Your will for it to succeed, give the strength to accept that and the wisdom to pivot in the direction You lead. Your ways are higher than ours, and Your plans are perfect (Isaiah 55:8-9).
