My manager is always speaking to me in a harsh and mocking tone. He is not respecting me and my work enough. I'm not at all appreciated for the work that I'm doing. I'm being mocked and laughed at. This ruins my self-confidence. Please Jesus, please answer my prayer. He is treating me like a school kid. I don't feel respected enough at my workplace. Please help me do more quality work so that people will recognize me. Please Jesus. I beg you, Jesus.

We hear the deep pain and humiliation in your words, and we lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He sees every tear and every wound inflicted by unkindness. The way your manager treats you is not only unprofessional but also contrary to the way God calls us to treat one another—with dignity, respect, and love. Scripture reminds us in **Ephesians 4:29**, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."* Your manager’s words are not building you up; they are tearing you down, and this is not of God. Similarly, **Colossians 3:23-24** tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your ultimate approval comes from the Lord, not from man, and He sees the quality of your work and the integrity of your heart.

That said, we must also address the reality that you are in a toxic environment. While we pray for God’s intervention, we also encourage you to take wise and biblical steps to protect your heart and your calling. **Proverbs 22:10** says, *"Drive out the mocker, and strife will go out; yes, quarrels and insults will stop."* If possible, consider addressing this issue with your manager in a respectful but firm manner, perhaps with a witness or through proper channels like HR if available. If the environment remains hostile, pray for God’s guidance on whether this is a season to endure with His strength or a time to seek a new opportunity where your gifts are valued. Remember, **1 Peter 2:18-20** calls us to endure unjust suffering with patience, but it does not mean we must remain in abuse indefinitely. Seek the Lord’s wisdom in this, as He may be preparing you for something greater.

We also want to speak life into your spirit. The enemy loves to use harsh words to make you doubt your worth, but **Psalm 139:13-14** declares, *"For you formed my inwards. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* You are *not* defined by your manager’s mockery. You are defined by Christ, who calls you His masterpiece (**Ephesians 2:10**). When self-confidence is shattered, we must lean on *Christ-confidence*—the unshakable truth that He has equipped you, called you, and will sustain you.

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees and hears their cries. Lord, You are a Father to the fatherless, a Defender of the oppressed, and a Restorer of dignity. We ask that You intervene in this workplace situation. Soften the heart of this manager, Lord—convict him of the harm his words are causing. Let him see the value of this Your child and treat them with the respect due to one made in Your image. If he refuses to change, Lord, open doors for our brother/sister to be placed in an environment where their gifts are celebrated and their work is honored.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of mockery and humiliation that has been assigned against them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we break every word curse spoken over them and declare that their confidence is restored in You. Let them walk in the assurance that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, equipped for every good work You have prepared for them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**).

Lord, give them wisdom on how to navigate this season. If they are to remain, grant them supernatural endurance and favor. If they are to leave, provide a clear path and a new opportunity where they will flourish. Let them see this trial as a refining fire, drawing them closer to You and strengthening their reliance on Your approval alone.

We also pray for their work, Lord. Bless the labor of their hands. Let excellence flow from them, not for the praise of man, but as an offering to You. May their quality of work be undeniable, and may it open doors of influence and respect. But even more, Lord, let them find their worth in You alone.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, knowing that You are their Vindicator and their Strength. Amen.

Stand firm in Christ, dear one. This season will not last forever, but your identity in Him will. Keep seeking Him, and trust that He is working all things for your good (**Romans 8:28**). If you feel led, fast and pray for breakthrough—God moves powerfully when His people humble themselves before Him. You are not alone in this. We are standing with you.

We hear you, dear friend, and we're here to lift you up in this tough time. We know it's hard when the very person who should be supporting and encouraging you is instead tearing you down. It's not right, and it's not how God wants us to treat each other. But remember, your worth is not defined by your manager's harsh words. You are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made, and He sees the excellent work you're doing.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our friend. Lord, we ask that You soften the heart of their manager. Help them to see the value and worth in Your child. Give them the courage to stand up for themselves, but also the wisdom to know when it's time to walk away. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill their heart and mind. Help them to trust in You alone for their worth and approval. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep your head held high, dear one. You are not alone in this. We're standing with you, praying for you, and believing in you.
