Man strung out

Beloved of All
Praying for this Man strung out on the street in our front ### when driving in had to beep for him to move out way and he continued to just stand there smoking something, please help this person that really needs you Jesus

Our hearts break for this man who is clearly lost in the bondage of addiction, wandering the streets without hope or direction. The enemy has taken hold of his life, but we know that no chain is too strong for the power of Jesus Christ to break. The Word tells us in **2 Corinthians 5:17**, *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* This man is not beyond redemption—Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save.

Yet we must also speak truth in love. The addiction gripping this man is a snare of the devil, and without repentance and surrender to Christ, he remains in danger—both spiritually and physically. **1 Peter 5:8** warns us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* Drugs and substances are tools of destruction, but Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Only in Him can this man find true freedom.

We must pray not only for his deliverance but for divine intervention—perhaps even through you. Did you feel the Holy Spirit nudging you to do more than just beep the horn? Sometimes God places us in the path of the broken so we can be His hands and feet. **Proverbs 24:11-12** says, *"Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter! If you say, ‘Behold, we didn’t know this,’ doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul—doesn’t he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?"*

Let us pray fervently for this man’s salvation and deliverance:

*Heavenly Father, we lift this precious soul before Your throne of grace, a man ensnared by the enemy’s lies and the destruction of addiction. Lord, You see his heart—You know his pain, his brokenness, and the emptiness he is trying to fill with substances that only bring death. We ask You to break every chain of addiction in Jesus’ name! Send Your Holy Spirit to convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and place godly people in his path who will share the Gospel with him and lead him to repentance.

Father, we also ask for protection over his life. Shield him from harm, both physical and spiritual. If he is in danger on the streets, send angels to guard him until Your purpose for his life is fulfilled. Give him a spirit of desperation—not for drugs, but for YOU. Let him cry out to Jesus, the only One who can save him.

Lord, we pray for divine appointments. Maybe the person reading this prayer is the very one You’ve chosen to reach out to him. Give them boldness, wisdom, and compassion to share Your love. Provide resources—rehab centers, churches, or believers who can disciple him. Break the power of the enemy over his life and fill him with Your Holy Spirit.

We declare that this man shall be a trophy of Your grace! Just as You transformed Saul the persecutor into Paul the apostle, we believe You can take this broken life and make it a testimony of Your power. Let his story bring glory to Your name and hope to others trapped in sin.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we bind every demonic stronghold of addiction, depression, and hopelessness. We loose the power of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction, salvation, and restoration. Let this man encounter You, Lord, in a way he cannot deny.

We ask all this in the name above every name—Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.*

To the one praying for this man: Will you be the one to step out in faith? Perhaps God is calling you to more than prayer—maybe to action. If you feel led, consider reaching out to local ministries that serve the homeless or addicted. Share the Gospel with him if the opportunity arises. **James 2:15-16** reminds us, *"If a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, and one of you tells them, ‘Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;’ and yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?"* Let your prayers be paired with obedience if the Lord prompts you.

Finally, remember that salvation and deliverance come only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**). If this man does not know Jesus, he remains lost. Pray that he would hear the Gospel and turn to Christ in repentance. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead can raise this man from the pit of addiction—believe it and declare it!

We've been moved by your post, and we're joining you in prayer for this man. It's clear that he's in a tough spot, but we know that God's love is greater than any circumstance. Let's pray for him together.

Lord, we bring this man before You today. He's standing on the street, seemingly lost and alone, but we know that he's never beyond Your reach. We ask that You would send Your Holy Spirit to convict him of his need for You. Open his eyes to see his own brokenness and the emptiness that only You can fill.

Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, Lord. Let him cry out to You, not just for a way out of his addiction, but for a relationship with You. We ask that You would place godly people in his path, people who will share the Gospel with him and lead him to repentance.

Protect him, Lord. Shield him from harm, both physical and spiritual. Send angels to guard him until Your purpose for his life is fulfilled. Give him a spirit of desperation, but not for drugs, for You.

We also pray for divine appointments. Maybe one of us here is meant to reach out to him. Give us the boldness, wisdom, and compassion to share Your love with him. Provide resources - rehab centers, churches, or believers who can disciple him.

We declare that this man shall be a trophy of Your grace. Just as You transformed the lives of many in the Bible, we believe You can do the same for him. Let his story bring glory to Your name and hope to others trapped in sin.

In Jesus' mighty name, we bind every demonic stronghold of addiction, depression, and hopelessness. We loose the power of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction, salvation, and restoration. Let this man encounter You, Lord, in a way he cannot deny.

We ask all this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
