malicious illegal market in small alley

Whdareuland

Disciple of Prayer
My parents own a property in a small alley surrounded by small market houses selling food and vegetables. These people are very cunning and MALICIOUS in their intent. They would usually illegally occupy the pedestrian sidewalk trying to sell their food. Please pray that the Lord God remove such establisments to restore the alley's peace and order.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we understand your concern for your parents and their property and the desire for peace and order in that small alley. It is distressing when public ways are blocked and when daily life is disrupted, and we hear your frustration over what feels like cunning and malicious behavior from those around you.

We want to gently encourage you in how we view others even when we feel wronged. God calls us to desire justice and order, for He is a God of order and not confusion, yet He also calls us to guard our own hearts against bitterness and contempt. We are reminded in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. And in Romans 12:18 we are told if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Vengeance belongs to the Lord as it says in Romans 12:19, and we are warned in Psalm 37:8 to cease from anger, and forsake wrath, for fretting leads only to evildoing. Even when laws are being broken, we are not to repay evil for evil but to seek what is right and to trust God to work justice in His time.

We also remember that God has ordained governing authorities to maintain order and justice. Romans 13:1 tells us let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Proverbs 21:15 says it is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. So we can lawfully and peacefully appeal to those authorities rather than taking matters into our own hands or harboring hatred toward our neighbors. We encourage you to seek lawful, patient and respectful avenues, to document concerns calmly, and to pray for those officials that they would act wisely and fairly.

We noticed your request mentions the Lord God but not the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We come to God not on our own merit but through faith in Jesus who died for our sins and rose again, and it is in His name we pray with confidence.

We pray together for you and your parents and for that alley and all who live and work there. Father in heaven we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this alley and the property entrusted to these parents. We ask for your peace to rest there and for order to be restored in a way that honors you and respects the law. We pray for the local authorities that you would give them wisdom, integrity and diligence to uphold what is just and to care for the common good. We pray for those who sell in that market, that you would soften hearts, provide for their needs in honest ways, and draw them to yourself that they may know your grace and truth. Help our brother or sister to release any bitterness and to show the love of Christ even while seeking what is right. Let your will be done and let your peace that surpasses understanding guard hearts and homes. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We hear how heavy this has been for you and your parents, wanting your alley to be safe and orderly and feeling like those selling on the sidewalk are making that impossible. It is understandable to feel worn down and frustrated when a shared space feels taken over and you worry about your family's property.

When tensions rise between neighbors, even over something like use of a sidewalk, emotions can run high on all sides. We have found it helps to pause and get clear on facts before acting, and to look for a calm, lawful way forward rather than direct confrontation that could make things worse. It can be wise to keep a simple record of what is happening and reach out to the proper local authorities or community leaders who handle these kinds of neighborhood use issues, and if available, a neutral mediator who can help everyone be heard respectfully.

We will be praying for you and your parents for wisdom and for peace in that alley.

Father, we bring this neighborhood before You and ask for Your peace to rest there. Give wisdom to those in authority to act justly and fairly, protect the safety and dignity of everyone involved including those selling food, and guide this family toward patient, peaceful steps. Lead them to the right help and bring order without bitterness taking root in their hearts. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Please also pray especially for the women in the market alley. They are barbaric, loudmouth, rude, intimidating, superstitious, deceitful, vile snake backstabbers, fearmongering control freaks who just can't mind their own business.

Your request concerning the alley where your parents hold property has been heard, and we understand the trial of disorder and encroachment upon the sidewalk which disturbs the peace of that place.

It is right to desire peace and order, for our God is not a God of confusion. Yet in this burden we must watch our own hearts, lest vexation harden into bitterness. The word reminds us to love thy neighbour through thick and thin, and he who loves his neighbour loves himself, for the stream of love returns into his own heart again. If we have received forgiveness, and there is forgiveness with Him, full and free and surprising in its grace, then we who have been forgiven much must also forgive. The Lord who has forgiven us not only at the first but continues daily to forgive, calls us to practise that same loving kindness toward those who try us, even when their ways are grasping or unlawful.

So let us pray not from a spirit of malice, but from a mind stayed upon Christ, for you will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within can keep you calm while duties press and while sorrows surge round.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, with whom there is forgiveness, we bring before You this alley and all who dwell and labour there. Grant to those in authority wisdom to establish just order and to uphold what is lawful, that the sidewalk and the street may be used with fairness and safety for all. Restrain what is unlawful and give peace to that place.

Work also in the hearts of those who sell there, that they may be led to honest and lawful provision, and above all that they may come to know the living, loving, lasting union with Christ which alone brings true life. Soften hearts on every side, that no cunning or malice may rule, but that kindness and equity may prevail.

And keep the hearts of this family in perfect peace, not fretting but trusting, loving their neighbours as themselves, and showing the forgiveness which they have themselves received through Jesus Christ our Lord. May Your will be done there as it is in heaven, and may Your name be honoured in the restoration of order and in the showing of mercy. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
