We join you in this very practical and stressful need and we bring it before the Lord together in Jesus' name, for He cares about even the smallest details of our daily lives and our homes. We know how difficult extensive heat can be, and how worrying it is when the refrigerator fails and food is spoiling, and we ask for His mercy and help in this moment.

We are encouraged that you called upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find mercy and help. As it is written, Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

We are reminded that our God is attentive to our needs and is our refuge in every trouble. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 And we are told to bring every anxiety to Him, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

We also take comfort in His promise of provision, for Jesus taught us not to worry about what we will eat or drink, but to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 And we know that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness. The LORD's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

We pray together now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need to You. Lord, You see this malfunction and the distress caused by this heat and the food that is melting and spoiling. We ask for Your mercy and Your practical help. We pray for wisdom for what steps to take next, for provision for repair or replacement if needed, and for protection over health and resources. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, and that You would calm any anxiety with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Provide what is needed according to Your riches and show Your faithful care even in this small but urgent matter. We thank You that You hear us when we call upon Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps as you trust the Lord, keep the refrigerator doors closed as much as possible to preserve what coolness remains, move perishable items to a cooler with ice if available, check that the coils are clean and the seal is closing properly and that the appliance has space for ventilation, and seek help from a qualified technician or landlord if applicable. We also encourage you to continue to cast this care on Him and to thank Him in advance for His provision, trusting that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will surely care for you in this heat and need.

This kind of breakdown in this kind of heat is so discouraging, and we hear the urgency in your cry for mercy. When everything in the fridge is melting and nothing is working right, it adds stress and cost on top of already hard weather, and it makes sense you would bring it straight to Jesus.

One small step that may help protect what you can is to keep the fridge and freezer doors closed as much as possible for now, move the most perishable food into a cooler with ice if you have one, and reach out quickly to a repair technician or to your landlord or building manager if you rent. If you have a neighbor, family member, or church friend nearby, it is okay to ask if you can keep a few essentials in their fridge for a day or two while you wait for help. Please be cautious with any food that has fully thawed or been warm for hours, it is safer to let it go.

Your cry in this oppressive heat has been heard, and we bring your need before the Lord who both sees and cares for His people in small things as well as great.

It is a trial when the provisions of the home fail and the heat presses hard, and everything that should preserve begins to melt away. Yet even here we are taught to put our trust in God. He has not made this world to be our final nest, and He often plants thorns in it to remind us that our true home is higher, but He is still our Father to care for us and to provide for us in Providence. What time you are afraid, put your trust in Him and all will be well. We have been in strange places and in very peculiar conditions in the past, but we have never been thrown where we could not find in God all we needed.

Be assured that we serve a prayer hearing and a prayer answering God, who works both in Providence and in Grace. There is no discord in the Providence of God, but all things work together for good to them that love God, and He is able to raise up help in unexpected quarters and to work deliverance even in matters that seem commonplace.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in whom we trust, have mercy and hear this prayer. You know the burden of this heat and the distress of a failing provision. We ask You in Your fatherly care to grant relief, to restrain the power of the heat, and to provide what is needed for this household. Grant wisdom to those who may repair what is broken, and in Your Providence supply food that will not fail and a home kept in safety. Quiet the anxious heart with confidence in Your love, in the power of Christ's arm and in the prevalence of His plea for us, that even in this trouble there may be trust and not fear. We look to Jesus Christ alone for our salvation and our hope, and we rest upon His finished work upon the Cross. Let this present trial turn the heart more fully to joy in God, who is our All in All, and to hope of that better rest which remains for the people of God. Grant it for Christ's sake. Amen.

May the Lord give you quietness of heart as you trust Him, and may you find Him sufficient in this need and in every need, till He brings you to that place where no want shall come near you again.

Your distress in this great heat with the fridge failing and food melting has been heard, and I join my sorrow to yours and pray for mercy with you. Scripture teaches us to weep with those who weep, and by sharing the burden its weight is lightened, so you are not alone in this trouble.

I pray that Jesus, who is merciful and near to those who call on Him, will have compassion on you in this practical need. May He grant relief from the heat, provide a way for the fridge to be repaired or replaced, preserve what you have, and give you wisdom and help from others around you. It is right to make provision for the flesh for health, not for excess, and to seek to have the body in health so that we can attend to the things of God, so to ask for what is necessary for daily life is pleasing to Him.

Ask Him for what you need, and also reach out to neighbors or brothers and sisters nearby who may be able to help keep food cool or assist with a repair while you wait. May the Lord grant you peace, keep you from anxiety, and supply what you need day by day, and may you know His care in both small and great things.

Your cry for mercy in this heat and with a failing refrigerator is heard, and it is right to bring even this practical need to Jesus. The Lord sees the discomfort and the loss and the stress that comes when the things we depend on for daily life break down, especially when the heat is so intense.

Scripture teaches that God delights to show mercy. He is not reluctant to help, but looks for the opportunity to be gracious. When Moses interceded for a rebellious people who deserved judgment, God revealed His heart by saying, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. That word was spoken when justice alone would have wiped them out, yet God chose to show mercy. In the same way, mercy is not something we earn or deserve. It comes from His sovereign goodness. We do not come to Him on the basis of our own holiness, but on the basis of His mercy.

That mercy and truth meet together in Jesus Christ. Because Jesus bore the judgment for our sin, God can be both just and merciful, forgiving the guilty while upholding righteousness. Through Him we have peace with God and can boldly ask for mercy in every situation, large or small. The psalmist prayed, turn to me and have mercy on me, give your strength to your servant. That is a prayer you can pray now. Lord, have mercy on me, give me strength in this trouble.

The Bible repeats again and again that His mercy endures forever. That means His mercy covers every circumstance and every season, in abundance and in need, in spiritual matters and in everyday matters like food and shelter and the work of our hands. He is the Creator who made the sun to rule by day and the moon and stars by night, and He is also the God who provided manna in the wilderness and daily bread for His people. He knows what you need to live and to be sustained, and His mercy is as high as the heavens and deep enough to cover every care you bring to Him.

So we pray with you now. Father, have mercy. You are plenteous in mercy and truth. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would have compassion in this practical trial. We ask for Your provision for this refrigerator, whether through repair or replacement, and for wisdom for those who can help. We ask for relief from this heat and for Your protection over food and health and home. Sustain and strengthen in this distress, and let Your goodness and mercy be felt in a very real way. Help to trust not in our own resources but in Your enduring mercy, and give peace while waiting on Your help.

Give thanks even in this difficulty, for His mercy endures forever. He has not forgotten you, and His compassion does not run out. May you know His nearness and His provision today, and may His strength carry you through this need.
