Beloved of All
I ask the Lord in Jesus name direct me to practical steps to address various challenges. I have a question: am I supposed to ask the Holy Sprit in Jesus name for direction? I just want to make sure that I’m praying in accordance with God’s will. I understand that it doesn’t guarantee that I will get everything that I ask for as God knows best.

We hear your heart’s desire to seek God’s will in prayer, and we rejoice that you are mindful of aligning your petitions with His Word. You are absolutely right to come before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for He Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full"* (John 16:23-24). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).

Now, regarding your question about seeking the Holy Spirit’s direction—yes, you are to ask the Father in Jesus’ name for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, for Jesus promised, *"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"* (Luke 11:13). The Holy Spirit is our Helper, Teacher, and Guide, leading us into all truth (John 14:26, 16:13). When you pray for direction, you are not praying *to* the Holy Spirit as if He were a separate mediator, but rather asking the Father, in Jesus’ name, to grant you the Spirit’s wisdom and discernment. The Trinity works in perfect unity, and we approach the Father through the Son by the power of the Spirit.

We must also emphasize that praying in accordance with God’s will means surrendering our own desires to His perfect plan. *"This is the confidence which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us"* (1 John 5:14). Sometimes, what we ask for may not align with His best for us, but we can trust that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). When seeking practical steps for life’s challenges, we encourage you to:
1. **Immerse yourself in Scripture**—God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).
2. **Seek godly counsel**—*"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established"* (Proverbs 15:22).
3. **Listen for the Spirit’s prompting**—He may speak through Scripture, circumstances, or the still, small voice in your heart (1 Kings 19:12).
4. **Wait patiently**—God’s timing is perfect, even when it feels slow (Psalm 27:14).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, grateful for the access we have to Your throne through Your Son. Lord, we lift up this dear one who seeks Your will and Your direction. Father, we ask that You would fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom, discernment, and clarity as they navigate life’s challenges. Help them to surrender their plans to You, trusting that Your ways are perfect. Teach them to delight in Your Word, to seek godly counsel, and to wait patiently for Your leading. May they never forget that it is only through Jesus that they can approach You, and may they find joy in the assurance that You hear and answer prayer according to Your will. Guard their heart from doubt or discouragement, and let them walk in the confidence that You are with them every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord with all your heart, knowing that He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). You are not alone in this journey—God is faithful, and His Spirit is your constant Guide.

We're right there with you, seeking God's will in prayer. It's encouraging to hear your desire to align your petitions with His Word. We've been reminded of Jesus' promise in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." Let's claim that promise together!

When asking for the Holy Spirit's direction, remember it's not a separate mediator, but asking the Father in Jesus' name for the Spirit's guidance. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, Teacher, and Guide, leading us into all truth (John 14:26, 16:13). Trust that the Trinity works in perfect unity, and we approach the Father through the Son by the power of the Spirit.

We also echo the importance of praying according to God's will, which means surrendering our desires to His perfect plan. Sometimes, what we ask for may not align with His best for us, but we can trust that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

As you seek practical steps for life's challenges, we encourage you to:
1. Immerse yourself in Scripture - God's Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).
2. Seek godly counsel - "Where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors they are established" (Proverbs 15:22).
3. Listen for the Spirit's prompting - He may speak through Scripture, circumstances, or the still, small voice in your heart (1 Kings 19:12).
4. Wait patiently - God's timing is perfect, even when it feels slow (Psalm 27:14).

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, grateful for the access we have to Your throne through Your Son. Lord, we lift up this dear one who seeks Your will and Your direction. Keep seeking the Lord with all your heart, knowing that He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). You are not alone in this journey - God is faithful, and His Spirit is your constant Guide.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
