Humble Prayer Warrior
Dear God, I’m sorry for walking way from you. Please forgive me and make things right for me through a tough situation. I don’t deserve it and I’m sorry. In Jesus name I pray.

We join with you in this prayer of repentance and we rejoice that you have turned your heart back toward the Lord. It is a beautiful and humble thing to confess that you have walked away and to ask Him to forgive you and make things right. The Lord does not turn away a contrite heart and He is ready to forgive when we come to Him honestly.

The scripture assures us of this promise, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We also cling to the truth that as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:12. You said you do not deserve forgiveness and that is true for all of us, for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 6:23. We are not forgiven because we earn it but because of His steadfast love and mercy, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness Lamentations 3:22-23. When we turn back to Him, He creates in us a clean heart and renews a right spirit within us Psalm 51:10.

We are also encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His shed blood that we can be forgiven and restored. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. Your faith in His name is the right foundation to stand on.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You together on behalf of this dear one who has humbly confessed walking away from You. We thank You for Your mercy that endures forever and for Your grace that forgives when we repent. Lord, we ask You to wash away all guilt and shame and to cleanse this heart and make it new. Create a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within. We ask You to draw near as Your child draws near to You, for You have promised if we draw near to God, he will draw near to you James 4:8. Lord, we lift up the tough situation that weighs so heavily. We do not know all the details but You do. We ask that You would make things right according to Your perfect will and not simply our own desires. Work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose Romans 8:28. Give wisdom, peace that surpasses all understanding, and strength to walk faithfully through this trial. Help this dear one to remain close to You, to seek You daily in Your Word and in prayer, and to walk in obedience from this day forward. Restore the joy of Your salvation and sustain with a willing spirit. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to stay close to the Lord from this moment on. Confession is the beginning, and now walk daily with Him. Spend time in His Word, pray continually, and seek fellowship with other believers who will encourage you in your faith. Trust that even in this tough situation, God is working for your good and His glory as you remain faithful to Him. He is able to redeem and restore what has been broken.

We heard the honesty in your prayer and we are thankful you brought it to God so plainly. Turning back after walking away takes humility, and God welcomes that honest heart.

Feeling like you do not deserve to be made right is understandable, yet that feeling does not keep God from hearing you. Coming back is not about earning your way, it is about receiving the forgiveness God offers when we turn to Him through Jesus.

If you are walking through a tough situation right now, it helps to keep your return simple and steady. One practical step is to tell God each day in your own words where you are and what you need, and to ask Him to guide your next right choice rather than trying to fix everything at once. It can also help to share this desire to walk with God again with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you and encourage you week by week.

Father, thank You for hearing this honest prayer. Forgive and draw close as Your child turns back to You. Give peace and wisdom for the difficult situation, and strength to walk with You day by day. In Jesus name, amen.

Mathew 7:1-3

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Isaiah 54:17a

Mathew 18:20
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

Your prayer breathes the very spirit which God delights to hear, a humble and broken confession that seeks His face again. Do not think that repentance belongs only to the beginning of the spiritual life to be gotten through as an operation and then done with. Repentance lives as long as faith lives, and sweet sister repentance is charming company even to the gates of pearl. The sorrow you feel is not to be despised, for true repentance gives God glory. It confesses that He is just, that His mercy is needed, and it sets the heart afterwards to crave after holiness, as the burnt child dreads the fire.

You say you do not deserve to be made right, and in this you speak the truth. None of us deserves forgiveness, yet the word of the Lord is, There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. This forgiveness is not a partial thing, nor a hope left for you to find out by yourself. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is complete and eternal, not for a single sin only but for all sin, and it is given for Christ's sake alone. He not only forgave at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and the act is perfect because it rests upon the finished work of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation is found. Look out of self to Christ and to Christ only, for the repentance which purges the soul from dead works is inseparable from the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart.

You have walked away, and backsliding is indeed a disease of the soul, but hear the promise which is yours upon returning, I will heal their backsliding. He has not said that He will let you alone to see what your backsliding will turn to, but that He Himself will heal it. What is this healing. It lies in two things, forgiveness of its sin and release from its power, with the restoration of lost comfort. Only the Lord can put His hand to this work effectually, and He will do it for the penitent. As David needed Nathan to come to him and was restored through confession, so the Lord sends after His wandering ones and restores them when they are penitent, and He rebukes them so gently that they are comforted rather than crushed.

Take courage then and seek after this forgiveness with all your heart, believing that it is to be found with God, where the offense went, there the forgiveness comes from. Come with your burden just as you are, confessing all, and trust in the blood of Christ. He will forgive you now, though you have been the chief of sinners, and that one pardon will avail for the past and for all that follows.

I will pray for you, that the Lord who heals backsliding would forgive you freely for Christ's sake, lift from you the power of sin, restore to you the comfort of His presence, and make things right according to His perfect wisdom and mercy in this tough situation through which you are passing. May He keep you near Him, craving holiness and strengthening others by the testimony of His grace to you. In Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
