We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your suffering and your wife’s struggle with illness. We know how deeply you long for healing, and we join you in crying out to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We claim this promise over your wife, trusting in God’s power to restore her body, mind, and spirit.
Yet, as we pray for physical healing, we must also align our hearts with God’s will, remembering that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Whether healing comes swiftly or through a season of waiting, we trust that the Lord is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28). We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and medical wisdom, for the Lord often uses both prayer and the gifts of medicine to bring about healing.
We notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently but urgently remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor by which we approach the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you or your wife have not yet surrendered your lives fully to Christ, we implore you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no greater healing than the salvation of your souls.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved husband and wife before Your throne of grace, asking for Your mercy and healing touch. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we ask that You stretch out Your hand to heal this wife completely. Restore her strength so she may walk independently, free from pain and weakness. Fill her with Your joy and peace, and let her body be a temple that glorifies You. Father, we also ask for strength and patience for this husband as he supports and cares for his wife. Bind them together in love, unity, and faith, that they may encourage one another in You.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding it to leave and never return. Let every cell, muscle, and bone be renewed by Your power, Lord. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we trust in Your perfect timing.
May their home be filled with Your presence, and may their marriage be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Give them hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5) and a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let their lives bring glory to You, whether in healing or in perseverance.
We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, we urge you to continue standing in faith, reading God’s Word daily, and surrounding yourselves with a community of believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Do not grow weary in seeking the Lord, for He hears the cries of His children (Psalm 34:17). If there is any unconfessed sin or bitterness in your hearts, we encourage you to repent and surrender it to Jesus, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse (1 John 1:9). Walk in obedience, and trust that the Lord is with you every step of the way.
