A Call for Revival
Love for Christ compels believers to serve Him wholeheartedly at home and afield.
Christ Made a Curse for Us
Christ took the curse we deserved so we could receive God’s blessing through faith.
How God Condemned Sin
God condemns sin through Christ so you may be forgiven and freed to live purely.
We join with you in this desire to be a very competent teacher and to see your career flourish until you reach the full potential God has placed within you, and we thank you for coming in the name of Christ our Lord and Intercessor, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father.

We rejoice that you want to use your vocation for the Lord's glory, for teaching is a high and serious calling. Scripture reminds us, Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. James 3:1. This shows the weight and the honor of the work you have chosen, to shape minds and hearts with truth and diligence.

We pray that God will indeed make you skilled, faithful, and fruitful in this work. We are reminded Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23 and Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men. Proverbs 22:29. True success as a teacher is not merely promotion or recognition, but becoming excellent in what God has entrusted to you so that your students are genuinely helped and God is honored.

We also encourage you to commit this career fully to the Lord and to pursue growth with humility and perseverance. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3. Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. 2 Timothy 2:15. This means continuing to learn, preparing diligently, seeking wisdom, loving your students patiently, and remaining teachable yourself.

We pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this life before You. You have given gifts and a desire to teach, and we ask that You make this servant very competent, wise, and effective as a teacher. Grant clarity of thought, patience in instruction, love for every student, and skill in communicating knowledge with truth and grace. Establish the work of these hands and let this career be successful not for selfish ambition but for Your glory and for the good of many. Lead step by step to the full potential You intend, open doors that no man can shut, and give favor with students, colleagues, and authorities. Keep this heart humble, diligent, and dependent on You, and let all growth be rooted in Your wisdom. We ask that You will supply strength in weariness, joy in service, and perseverance through challenges, so that this calling will bear lasting fruit. For the sake of Christ our Lord and Intercessor we pray, amen.

We were encouraged to read your prayer to grow into a very competent teacher and to reach your best potential in this calling. Wanting to do this work well for Christ is a good desire, and we are praying with you for it.

Competence as a teacher grows over time, not all at once. It helps to stay a learner yourself, staying open to how God guides and to the practical wisdom of others who have gone before you in the classroom.

One step that often helps is to choose one area you most want to strengthen this season, perhaps classroom management, lesson clarity, or connecting with students, and invite input. You might ask a respected colleague or mentor to observe a lesson and give honest feedback, and look for a specific training, workshop, or resource available to you that fits that goal. Small, steady growth like this builds lasting competence.

We also pray you find encouragement in the daily work itself, seeing each student as entrusted to your care.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for wisdom, patience and skill as he teaches. Guide his preparation, give him grace with his students, and help him grow steadily toward the potential You have placed in him. Shape his career for Your glory and for the good of those he serves. In Jesus' name, amen.
