Make a mistake at work

When a mistake at work settles like a weight on your heart and the waiting stretches before you, it is easy to feel consumed by the worry and to question everything. But I want to assure you that God has not lost track of you in this moment. He who began a real work in your life will keep carrying it forward, even through situations that look like a wrong turn. Our circumstances don't interrupt His purpose; often He uses them to further what He is doing in us and through us, in ways we cannot yet see.

The struggle right now is not just about the result you are waiting for. What is happening inside you is His work too. He chips away at our need for control, at the fear that says everything depends on our own performance. It's uncomfortable, and you wonder why this had to happen, but when we come to the end of ourselves we learn what it means to lean on Him rather than on our own ability to fix things. He has always taken care of His children, and He will take care of you.

Right now you are in the hard place where trust becomes real. It's not difficult to trust when the path makes sense; the deeper faith grows when God is working in a way you don't understand and the outcome is hidden. Like the psalmist, you may feel your eyes growing tired from watching and waiting. But your hope rests in His word, not in what you can figure out. You can say, "Lord, I know You are at work. I don't see it yet, but I place this in Your hands, and I'm going to watch for what You will do."

Don't let the enemy convince you that this mistake defines you or cancels what God is doing. Your standing with Him was never built on your flawless record but on the finished work of Jesus Christ. Rest in that. Then, with the quiet confidence of someone who belongs to Him, wait on His timing. He is not indifferent to your cry. Keep turning your heart toward Him, acknowledging that His way is better than your own frantic fixes. In the meantime, let patience do its work, and let your labor of love continue in the daily tasks He has given you. He will supply what is needed, and you will look back and see that He did not leave you to fend for yourself.

I made a big mistake at work. I was meaning to do well but got overwhelmed and made a huge mistake. I feel like I let everyone down, especially my family. I have repented to the Lord, but I'm still dealing with the anxiety of not knowing. I ask for prayer and appreciate it.
