Major Miscommunications
I wish I had waited longer.
Shebaa said she would call back in a half an hour.
She would tell me about her unexpected discharge from the hospital.
She needed to sneak to call me on her cell.
I waited more than an hour.
I was concerned and all I could do was request prayers.
It turns out that there were major miscommunications.
She was given medication to wake up shortly after surgery.
She was groggy.
She says the nurse told her that her insurance dropped her.
Shebaa had expected to be in the hospital for two days.
She was being rushed to wake up so she could be discharged.
She then called me and asked for special prayers.
She said she will call when she knows more.
I sent out the prayer requests.
Shortly after that she called again.
Here is what I understand as of this minute.
After the emergency eye surgery last week she was given strong medications.
They brought her back for tests a few times.
At first they said it would be two days in the hospital.
That was her expectation and mine.
Some person decided that she did not need major surgery but day surgery.
She was not told of this change in plans.
She is on one hundred percent disability benefits and government programs.
She also has health insurance.
Maybe the change of plans was from financial considerations instead of medical.
I hear stories of others rushed in and out of the hospital based on their coverage.
There were members of her church that had planned to be there today.
But the person who was driving got lost and they went back.
A friend of Shebaa named will bring her home this afternoon.
She has one prescription and will need gauze to replace the bandages.
The total of those needs is 20 dollars including the delivery charge from the pharmacy.
Please pray for God to guide my thoughts words and deeds to raise these funds.
