Your honesty about feeling overwhelmed is heard, and it is good that you are bringing these burdens to the Lord.
When bills and required expenses like insurance and licensing press in, the heart can feel as if there is no way through. Scripture reminds us that God has always left room for Himself to work, even in situations that look impossible to us. Under the old law there was even a provision for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy was incurable by human means. That shows the heart of God to make a way where we see no way, and to invite us not to put Him in a box. He is able to provide, to open doors, to lower costs, and also to sustain and satisfy His people with what is needed day by day. It is right to ask Him for help with these financial pressures, and also to honor Him by meeting obligations faithfully, recognizing that He has established order and authority for our protection and for the good of society. Bring your needs to Him, ask for wisdom in stewardship, and trust His care even as you do what is responsible before Him.
The greatest provision God has made is for our forgiveness and protection through Jesus Christ alone. There is only one way for sin and guilt to be put away, and that is through His Son, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth in our hearts. To be under the covering of the blood of Jesus is to be under true protection. The psalm speaks of the Lord as our keeper, our defense on our most vulnerable side, keeping us by day and by night. When we belong to Him, we are not left without a defender. When hearts are overwhelmed by loss, financial strain, or broken relationships, we can turn to Him as our refuge and ask Him to be our preservation.
You also shared about the two gatherings on your heart, feeling uncomfortable about going with people you do not yet know well, and hoping other friends can join you for the other event where you would also value the exercise, as well as your longing for godly neighbors nearby. God understands our need for community that is safe and encouraging, and it is understandable to want to step forward at a pace where you feel at peace, and to have familiar friends alongside you. It is good to pray that those new friends would respond with grace and understanding, and that the Lord would bring neighbors and companions who love Him and will walk with you in a healthy way. He sees your desire for fellowship and for strength for your body, and He cares about both.
Praying for you now, that the Lord would meet you in these practical needs, grant you peace where you feel stretched, provide for every bill according to His wisdom and abundance, guide your steps regarding these events, surround you with understanding and godly friendships, and keep you and those you love under the mighty protection of Jesus.
