Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. We join together with you in prayer for your family after this difficult and confusing experience with the maintenance person, and we bring this situation before the Lord seeking His peace and restoration.
We know how unsettling it can be when confusion leads to conflict, even in everyday matters like maintenance in our homes. We are reminded that God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, as it says in 1 Corinthians 14:33, and that He desires us to live at peace with others whenever possible. Romans 12:18 tells us, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. There may be lingering frustration or hurt from what happened, and we are encouraged to release that to Him and to extend forgiveness, just as Ephesians 4:32 says, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. We also take comfort in Philippians 4:6-7 which reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can come boldly before Him in prayer. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We pray in His name and trust in Him alone for forgiveness, peace, and reconciliation with God.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we lift up this family to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to wash away any stress, frustration, or anxiety that remains from this negative encounter. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds. We pray for healing from any hurt feelings or misunderstanding, and we ask You to help them to forgive as You have forgiven us. We also lift up the maintenance person involved, that You would give him understanding and peace as well, and that any confusion would be cleared up and not cause further division. We ask You to restore a sense of safety and calm in their home and to let this experience be redeemed for good. Help this family to trust You in all things, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Your request for prayer for your family after this troubling and confusing encounter has been heard, and we have carried it before the Lord.
We pray that the God of all peace will keep your household in that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. In this dark world of sin, the blood of Jesus still whispers peace within, and this peace may be enjoyed even when duties press and confusions arise and sorrows surge around. May that peace, which passes all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and calm every disquieted thought in your home.
We pray also for a spirit of forgiveness to rest upon you all. Our Lord has forgiven us so freely and so completely, not only at the first but in a continuous and eternal forgiveness, blotting out our transgressions for His own sake. Even as Christ forgave you, so also are we to forgive. Where there has been confusion and a negative experience with another, may the Lord give you grace to be great minded in forgiveness, not taking a brother by the throat, but extending the same mercy you have received. And may He also give grace to the maintenance person involved, that any misunderstanding may be cleared away and replaced by goodwill.
