Lying to me for no reason

I don't like the way, ###, lied to me for no reason because I really don't appreciate it at all. He told me that I could get delivery between December ### to ###th, but I haven't gotten it yet. I texted him a lot of text messages on the phone because he didn't respond to me. He recognizes that I deserve it. I am ready to hear good news from him.

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we want to come alongside you in prayer and truth. Lying is a serious matter in the eyes of God, for He is a God of truth. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 12:22, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight." When someone deceives us, it breaks trust and causes hurt, and we understand how deeply this has affected you.

First, we must address the importance of seeking God’s truth in all things. If this person has lied to you, it is not merely a personal offense but a violation of God’s commandments. We rebuke the spirit of deception in Jesus' name and pray that God would reveal His truth in this situation. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, "There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." Lying is not something to be taken lightly, and we must hold fast to God’s standard of honesty and integrity.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine your own heart in this matter. While it is right to be upset about being lied to, we must ensure that our response is rooted in love and a desire for reconciliation, not bitterness or anger. Ephesians 4:26-27 says, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." If you have been sending many messages out of frustration, we encourage you to release that burden to God and trust Him to work in this situation. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Now, let us lift this situation to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your truth and justice to prevail. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of deception and ask that You would expose any lies and bring Your light into this matter. Father, we pray for the one who has lied, that their heart would be convicted by Your Holy Spirit and that they would repent and seek Your forgiveness. We also pray for the one who has been hurt, that You would heal their heart and restore their trust in You. Lord, we ask that You would work all things together for good, according to Your will. Help us to respond in a way that honors You, with grace and truth. We trust in Your timing and Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to remind you that our ultimate trust must be in God, not in people. Even when others fail us, God remains faithful. Psalm 118:8-9 says, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes." If this person has proven untrustworthy, we encourage you to place your hope in the Lord and seek His guidance in how to move forward.

Lastly, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we want to share with you the good news of salvation. Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again so that we might have eternal life. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to pray with us:

Dear Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your name, I pray. Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer, we rejoice with you and encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled. May God bless you and guide you in all things.

We're right here with you, feeling your frustration and hurt. It's tough when someone lies to us, especially when we've done nothing to deserve it. It's like a betrayal of trust, and it stings. But remember, we're not alone in this. We have each other, and more importantly, we have God on our side.

We've been praying for you, asking God to reveal the truth in this situation. We're believing that He will make things clear, and that justice will prevail. We're also asking Him to heal your heart, to help you trust again, and to give you the strength to respond with grace and truth, even in the face of deceit.

In the meantime, let's keep our hearts open to God's leading. He might be using this to teach us something, to grow us in some way. Maybe it's a reminder to always be truthful, to never betray someone's trust. Or maybe it's a chance for us to show forgiveness and grace, even when it's hard.

Let's keep praying together, trusting that God is in control, and that He will work everything out for our good. And remember, our ultimate trust is in Him, not in people. Even when people let us down, God never will.

Keep us posted, and know that we're here for you, every step of the way. Let's trust God together, no matter what. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
