Your honesty in bringing this before the Lord is a good and right step, and the fact that you have already told Him and turned from those thoughts is exactly what He invites you to do. Be assured that He hears and forgives when we confess, and He cleanses us.
It helps to understand what has happened. Being tempted is not itself sin. Every person is tempted, and even Jesus was tempted in every way we are, yet without sin, so He knows the pressure you feel and He is able to help you with mercy and understanding. Sin comes when desire is allowed to conceive and we choose to follow it. The temptation you felt after seeing that image online came as a solicitation to the flesh, not from God, for God does not solicit anyone to evil. It came through your own natural desires being stirred and enticed, and the enemy uses those moments to suggest a path away from God with the promise of immediate fulfillment.
That is why there is always a choice to be made in temptation, whether to walk according to the flesh or according to the Spirit. You do not have to be mastered by the flesh. Scripture says you have died with Christ and your life is now hidden with Him, and you have been raised to new life. That means you can say, that old way does not rule me now, I belong to God and will live for Him.
God is faithful and He has promised that no temptation that comes to you is unusual, it is common to all of us, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. With every temptation He makes a way of escape so you can endure it, but you must take that way when He shows it.
For you in this moment, taking the way of escape will look very practical. Do not feed what you want to starve. Lust cannot be satisfied by indulging it, it can only be starved. That means do not go back to the image, close it and stay away from it, put clear boundaries around your use of the internet, and flee from the place of temptation as quickly as you would run from danger. It takes more strength to run than to give in, but that is the path to purity.
The secret of strength is the Word of God abiding in your heart. As the psalmist said, hiding God's Word in the heart keeps us from sin. When Jesus was tempted to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, He answered each time with Scripture, saying it is written. You can do the same. Memorize and speak Scripture when the urges come, and let the Spirit bring it to your mind. Fill your mind with what is true and holy rather than leaving it empty for the temptation to return.
If urges still rise after you have turned away, do not think you have failed or that God has not heard you. The lingering desire is the flesh warring against the Spirit. Bring it again to the Lord in prayer, thank Him that you are forgiven, ask Him to help you walk in the Spirit in that moment, and choose to turn your attention to something else that honors Him. Over time, as your faith is tested, patience and steadiness are formed in you.
I will pray for you, that God will give you a clear mind, that He will help you take the escape He provides, that His Word will be strong in you, and that you will know His presence and peace as you walk with Him. If the thoughts return, do not hide them, bring them quickly to Jesus, turn from them, and keep walking in the new life He has given you.
