Thank you for sharing this request for prayer for your lungs, for strength and movement in your limbs, for swelling, and for your overall health. I am praying for you and bringing these specific needs before the Lord.
It is comforting to remember that God does care about your physical health. He created your body and He is interested in its well being. Scripture shows that many of the instructions He gave about what to eat and about cleanliness were given out of care for the health of His people, to protect them from disease. That same care continues today. Part of honoring God with our bodies includes being wise stewards of them, caring for what we eat and drink, keeping our bodies clean, and not expecting God to strengthen a body that we are neglecting. This is not about earning healing, but about living wisely with the body God has given us while we ask Him for help.
I also want to pray for your healing with faith while holding a humble heart about how God works. The Bible shows that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a touch, sometimes with just a word from a distance, sometimes healing came gradually. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some receive immediate relief and others experience a slower process. Any true healing is from God, whether it comes suddenly or through the natural healing processes He has built into our bodies. Those natural processes are themselves divine, because He designed them. And His healing can touch not only the body but also the mind and emotions, bringing peace and restoration even while the body is still struggling.
You may have heard the words from the letter to Gaius, where John writes that he wishes above all things that he may prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That was a loving personal wish for a dear friend, not a guarantee that everyone who follows Jesus will always be healthy. Yet it does show a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body. Our attitudes, our peace, our trust in God can affect our physical condition, and caring for our spiritual life matters for our whole person.
We also remember what Matthew says about Jesus, that He fulfilled what Isaiah prophesied, that He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Jesus has power over sickness, over the physical world, and over spiritual oppression, and we can come to Him confidently with every need.
At the same time, physical health is not a measure of spirituality or faith. Some of the most faithful and devoted followers of Jesus walk through long seasons of health problems. That does not mean they lack faith or commitment. God's ways are higher than our ways, and we cannot always understand why He allows certain hardships or why healing comes in different timing for different people. Not everyone is given the same gifts of healing, and God has not promised to heal everyone in the same way, but He has given us the more excellent way of love, and He calls us to love and pray for one another faithfully.
So I am praying for you now, that the Lord would touch your lungs and help you breathe more freely, that He would reduce the swelling in your body, that He would restore strength and movement to your limbs, and that He would grant you overall health according to His wisdom and mercy. I pray He would guide those caring for you medically and use every good means for your recovery, and that He would give you peace and strength in your soul as you wait on Him. May you know His presence and comfort, and may your soul prosper as you trust in Jesus who bore our infirmities and carries us each day.
