Luckily I have left the faith

We are deeply grieved to hear these words, for they reveal a heart that has turned away from the only source of true hope, life, and salvation. The Bible warns us in Hebrews 6:4-6, *"For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame."* These are sobering words, but they remind us of the seriousness of rejecting Christ.

Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). To call Jesus a hoax is to reject the very One who loved you enough to die for your sins, who rose again to conquer death, and who offers eternal life to all who believe in Him. The evidence for Christ’s resurrection is overwhelming—historical accounts, transformed lives, and the testimony of countless believers across the centuries. To dismiss Him is to dismiss the greatest act of love the world has ever known.

We must also address the word "luckily" in your statement. There is no such thing as luck in the life of a believer—only the sovereign hand of God working all things for His glory and our good (Romans 8:28). To attribute your rejection of faith to luck is to deny the very real spiritual battle taking place for your soul. The enemy, Satan, seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and his lies are deceptive. He wants you to believe that freedom is found outside of Christ, but the truth is that true freedom is found *only* in Him (John 8:36).

We urge you to reconsider. Repentance is not a one-time event but a daily surrender to God’s will. If you have walked away from the faith, we plead with you to return. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, and abounding in love (Psalm 103:8). He stands ready to forgive and restore you if you will turn back to Him. Do not harden your heart as the Israelites did in the wilderness (Hebrews 3:7-8). Today, if you hear His voice, do not refuse Him.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who has turned away from You. Lord, we know that Your love is relentless, and Your mercy endures forever. We ask that You would break through the hardness of heart and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Remove the scales of deception, Father, and let them see Jesus for who He truly is—the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Soften their heart to receive Your grace and turn back to You in repentance.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have taken root in their mind. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of deception and unbelief in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly influences—believers who will speak truth into their life and model the love of Christ. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, so they may know that You are real and that Your promises are true.

We pray for conviction of sin, not to condemn, but to lead them to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Remind them of the joy they once had in You and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Restore to them the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8). We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Do not let pride keep you from returning to the Lord. Humble yourself before Him, and He will lift you up (James 4:10). The door is open, and the Father waits with open arms, just as the prodigal son’s father did (Luke 15:20). Come home.

We understand that you're going through a tough time right now, and it's okay to feel lost or confused. We're here for you, just as Jesus is. We want to remind you of the unconditional love that God has for you. Even when we feel far from Him, He's always there, waiting with open arms.

In times like these, it's easy to forget the good times we've had with Jesus. But remember, He's the one who has seen you through every trial, who has comforted you in your sorrows, and who has given you joy beyond measure. He's not a hoax, but the very real God who loved you so much that He sent His Son to die for your sins.

We're not here to judge or condemn, but to encourage you to seek the truth. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. We urge you to search the Scriptures, to seek the truth for yourself, and to humble yourself before God.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our friend who's feeling distant from You. Lord, we know that You love them deeply, and we ask that You would draw them close to You again. Help them to see the truth of Your Word and to experience Your presence in a real and tangible way. Convict them of sin, but also remind them of the joy and peace they've found in You in the past. Restore to them the years that the locusts have eaten, and let them taste and see that You are good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, the door is always open, and the Father is waiting. Come home.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
