We join you in lifting up all of your loved ones before the throne of grace and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you for their health and wellbeing. It is a beautiful and loving request to bring those dearest to you before the Lord, for He cares deeply for each of them.

We are reminded of the heart of God toward His children in 3 John 1:2 where it says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. And in Psalm 103:2-3 we read Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Our wellbeing is not only physical but spiritual, and God desires wholeness for body, mind and soul. We also hold to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and in Philippians 4:6-7 we are encouraged In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture tells us in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be saved we must believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and that God raised Him from the dead, as Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We pray that you and all your loved ones know this saving grace, for true wellbeing begins with a restored relationship with God through Christ.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up every loved one represented in this request. You know each one by name, You know their bodies, their minds and their hearts. We ask for Your hand of protection and healing upon them. Grant them physical health and strength, guard their emotional and mental wellbeing, and above all draw each of them close to You that their souls may prosper. Where there is sickness, bring healing according to Your will. Where there is worry or weariness, grant Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to walk in Your ways and to trust in Your goodness and mercy all the days of their lives. We pray that each one would know Jesus as Lord and Savior and experience the fullness of life that comes from abiding in Him. We entrust them all into Your loving care, trusting that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring your loved ones before the Lord daily, trusting in His perfect love and perfect timing, for Romans 8:28 reminds us that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. May the Lord bless you and keep you and all those you love, and may you find comfort knowing He holds them in His hands.

Loving people well often means carrying concern for them that we cannot fix on our own, and it is good that you are bringing them to the Lord who sees each one fully and cares for them more than we can. We join you in asking for His watchful care over them day by day.

If it helps, you might find it steadying to keep their names before the Lord in a simple way, perhaps pausing for a moment morning and evening to lift each one by name, and letting one or two know you are praying for them. That small connection can be an encouragement to them and a reminder to your own heart that God is near and attentive.

Father, we lift every loved one this friend holds dear to You. We ask for Your mercy and care over their bodies and minds, for protection, strength and peace in each day. Give wisdom for any health needs that arise and draw each one closer to You. Comfort our friend as they love and intercede, and help them rest in Your faithful care. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your request to bring your loved ones before the Lord for their health and wellbeing is a tender and holy burden, and we gladly join you in prayer at the throne of grace. It is right to carry those we love in our hearts to Him who has loved us with an everlasting love.

We will pray that the Lord in His mercy would watch over all your loved ones, preserve them in health, sustain them in body and soul, and cause His gracious hand to rest upon them for good. We ask Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood to be their keeper and their comfort, for all true wellbeing flows from Him.

And we pray above all for the wellbeing of their souls. May each one know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, who loved us and gave Himself for us, and may they be found among His hidden ones, kept by His power and precious in His sight. If any are far off, may He who stoops from the highest heaven to lift the lost out of the pit draw them to Himself. May they know that He first loved them, and being loved, may they be washed and made whole in Him. We pray that He would give them not only health of body, but that health of soul which is to be near to Christ and to abide in His love.

We count it a privilege to whisper these names with you into the ear of Him who is our blessed confidant and who hears every prayer offered in the name of Jesus. May the Lord comfort your heart as you intercede for them, and may you see His mercy and keeping power upon all those you love.

We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus, our only Saviour, who having loved His own loves them to the end. Amen.

Thank you for bringing this request before the church. We have heard your care for those you love and we join you in lifting them before the Lord.

We pray that God, who is the giver of all life and health, would watch over each of your loved ones. We ask Him to grant them strength in body and peace in mind, to guard them from harm and to sustain them day by day by His mercy. As we pray for bodily health, we also pray for the deeper health of the soul, that each one would know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, and would walk in His truth and love.

May the Lord in His kindness keep your loved ones, provide for their needs, and draw them ever closer to Himself. We thank God for your love for them and we continue to hold them in prayer with you.

May God grant you comfort as you entrust them to His care, and may His will be done in their lives for their good and His glory. Amen.

Your care for the health and wellbeing of those you love reflects the love God has first shown to us. We love because He first loved us, and when He has poured His love into our hearts we naturally want to love and pray for one another in return. It is right and good to bring your loved ones before the Lord in this way.

The apostle John wrote to his dear friend Gaius, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. That was not given as a promise that everyone who is spiritually strong will always be physically healthy and prosperous. It was a warm, loving greeting and prayer, much like we would say today, I hope you are doing well. John knew Gaius was prospering spiritually, and he prayed that his physical health might match that spiritual strength.

Scripture makes clear that we cannot equate physical health with spirituality or with God's love. Joshua was a faithful servant of God, yet in his old age he became feeble and well stricken in years. James was beheaded while Peter was delivered, though God loved them both. Some of the sweetest and most faithful believers have walked through great health problems, and that does not mean they lacked faith or that God loved them less. His ways are not our ways, and we do not always know why He allows one thing for one person and something different for another.

What we do know is that God so loved the world that He gave His Son for us, and if we truly know that His love for us is perfect and complete, we can trust that nothing can happen to us or to those we love except what He allows, and He works even through hardship for good. So we can pray with confidence and with peace.

We are joining you in prayer that God would graciously watch over each of your loved ones, strengthen them in body and soul, and draw them closer to Himself. We pray above all that each of them would prosper spiritually and know the love of Jesus, and that whatever health they are given, they would experience His presence, comfort, and sustaining grace day by day.
