Love Increases in Knowledge, Discernment & Blameless Sincerity Until the Day of Christ, Fullness of Fruit, for God's Glory, Phil 1:9-10

Faithful Servant
🙏 "I pray that our love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God," in Jesus' Name (Phil 1:9-11).

What a beautiful and powerful prayer you’ve lifted up, rooted in the very words of Scripture! This passage from Philippians 1:9-11 is a profound reminder of what our love should look like as followers of Christ—not just an emotional affection, but a love that grows in depth, wisdom, and godly discernment. It is a love that is sincere, blameless, and fruitful, all for the glory of God. How encouraging it is to see you seeking this kind of love, which is only possible through the work of Jesus Christ in our lives.

This prayer aligns perfectly with God’s heart for His people. In a world where love is often shallow, self-serving, or based on fleeting emotions, the love described here is supernatural—it is shaped by the knowledge of God’s Word and the discernment that comes from the Holy Spirit. It is a love that chooses what is excellent, rejecting what is worldly or impure. And it is a love that endures, remaining blameless until the day of Christ’s return. What a high and holy calling this is!

We are reminded in 1 John 4:7-8, *"Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love."* True love is not just something we *do*—it flows from who we *are* in Christ. And as we abide in Him, our love grows in knowledge and discernment, enabling us to live in a way that honors Him.

Yet, this kind of love doesn’t come naturally to us in our fallen state. It requires surrender to the Holy Spirit, who produces in us the fruit of righteousness (Galatians 5:22-23). It requires us to daily take up our cross and follow Jesus, allowing His Word to renew our minds (Romans 12:2) so that we can discern what is excellent and pleasing to God. It also requires us to examine our hearts, repenting of any selfishness, bitterness, or hypocrisy that might hinder this blameless love.

Let us also remember that this love is not just for our personal growth—it is for the glory and praise of God. Everything we do, even our love for one another, should point others to Him. As Jesus said in John 15:8, *"In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples."* Our love, when rooted in Christ, becomes a testimony to the world of His transforming power.

Now, let us pray together over this request, asking God to cultivate this kind of love in us and through us:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the love You have poured into us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You would increase our love—not just in quantity, but in depth, in knowledge, and in discernment. Fill us with the wisdom that comes from Your Word so that we may approve what is excellent and reject what is not pleasing to You. Make our love sincere and blameless, free from hypocrisy or selfish ambition. May we walk in the fruit of righteousness that comes only through Jesus, bringing glory and praise to Your name.

Father, we confess that our love is often weak and flawed. We ask for Your forgiveness where we have fallen short, and we surrender our hearts to You. Teach us to love as You love—sacrificially, patiently, and without condition. Help us to abide in Christ so that our love may be a reflection of His love for us. Strengthen us to endure until the day of Christ, running the race with perseverance and faith.

We pray for unity among Your people, that our love for one another would be a testimony to the world of Your grace. May our lives be filled with the fruit of righteousness, not for our own glory, but for Yours alone. Let everything we do—every word, every action, every thought—be done in love and for Your honor.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the source of all true love. Amen.

We echo your heartfelt prayer, dear friend, and join you in seeking a love that grows in knowledge, discernment, and sincerity. As you've beautifully prayed, we yearn for a love that is not just emotional, but deeply rooted in the knowledge of God's Word and guided by the Holy Spirit's discernment. A love that chooses what is excellent, rejects what is worldly, and endures until the day of Christ's return.

We're reminded of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, "Love is patient, love is kind... It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." This is the kind of love we strive for, a love that is selfless, patient, and enduring.

Let's also remember that this love is not just for our personal growth, but for the glory and praise of God. As we love one another, we point others to Him. In Matthew 5:16, Jesus says, "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Let's continue to pray for one another, asking God to cultivate this kind of love in us and through us. May our love be a reflection of His love for us, and may we walk in unity, bearing much fruit for His glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

What a beautiful and Christ-honoring prayer you lifted before us, rooted so deeply in the heart of Paul’s petition for the Philippians. We have been earnestly praying alongside you these past days, asking the Lord to cultivate in you—and through you—a love that overflows with the knowledge of His will and the discernment to walk in what is excellent. How precious it is to intercede for a heart that longs to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ, bearing the fruit of righteousness for God’s glory alone.

As we continue to lift this request before the Father, we are reminded that His work in us is both immediate and lifelong—a sanctifying journey where He faithfully prunes, nurtures, and grows us into the likeness of His Son. We pray you have sensed His presence in fresh ways, whether through a deeper awareness of His love, a clearer understanding of His truth, or a renewed strength to walk in blamelessness before Him. These are the quiet, sacred answers we sometimes overlook in our eagerness to see the grand ones.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer in tangible ways—perhaps through a moment of conviction, a newfound peace in discernment, or an outpouring of love for others—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. There is nothing that stirs our faith like witnessing God’s faithfulness in the lives of His saints. Share with us how He is moving, that we might rejoice with you and give Him the glory He deserves.

And if this remains a prayer of persistent longing, do not hesitate to bring it before us again. The work of growing in love, discernment, and righteousness is not a single prayer but a lifelong conversation with our Father. We are honored to continue standing with you, asking Him to complete the good work He has begun in you, until the day of Christ Jesus.

May you be ever aware of His nearness as you seek Him, and may your heart be filled with the assurance that He who called you is faithful. We are praying for you, believing that He who started this work in you will carry it on to completion. In Jesus Name.
