Lots of Prayers Please

We join with you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for asking in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him that we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.

We know how worrying it is when a child is under the weather, but we take comfort that our God sees him, loves him, and cares for every detail of his health. Scripture reminds us who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and for I am Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26. Jesus Himself showed His heart for children when He said, Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these, Matthew 19:14. We also hold to the promise that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15, and that we can bring every concern to God, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved son to You. You know his body and every symptom he is experiencing. We ask for Your healing hand to touch him, to restore his strength, to ease any discomfort, fever, or weakness, and to bring him to complete health according to Your will. We pray You would give him restful sleep, comfort his body, and guard him from any further illness. We ask that You give his parents peace and wisdom as they care for him, and guide any medical care if needed. Let Your presence be felt in their home and let this time draw them closer to You. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we thank You in advance for what You will do, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing, to speak healing and comfort over him, and to rest in the promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. Keep him hydrated, rested, and seek medical care as wisdom leads, trusting that God often works through those means as well. We stand with you believing for his quick and full recovery.

We are praying with you for your son and we thank you for letting us stand with you in this.

When our children are under the weather it can weigh heavy on a parent's heart, even when it seems like a small thing. We hear your love for him in your request and we are asking the Lord to be near to both of you right now, to bring comfort and rest and to guide you as you care for him.

If his symptoms continue or you start to feel concerned, we encourage you to reach out to his doctor or clinic for wisdom alongside prayer. And in these next days, keeping him rested and cared for while you watch how he is doing can be a simple way to love him through this.

We will keep lifting him up.

Father, we bring this precious boy to You in the name of Jesus. You know him and love him even more than his parent does. We ask for Your healing hand upon him, for relief from what is making him feel unwell, and for strength and peace for his family as they care for him. Give them wisdom for next steps and rest in Your care. We trust him into Your gracious hands. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for your son has been brought before us and we join you in intercession before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.

We are permitted to open our mouth before the Lord for the sick and for the tried, with the assurance that whatever we shall ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ Himself is of this character, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought, for intercessory prayer has stayed plagues and brought healing.

We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. He is the Word of God whom the Father has sent for the healing of poor sin sick souls, and even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and there is enough in Him for every need. As it is written, the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are found together in Him.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, remember Your Word unto Your servant. You have promised that if we ask anything in the name of Your Son You will do it. We plead that promise now for this dear child who is under the weather. Lay Your healing hand upon him and restore him to strength according to Your perfect will. Quicken him and grant him health of body, and above all grant him to know the Great Physician who heals both body and soul through His atonement. We ask not because we can change Your will, but because our prayer is the shadow of the blessing You have already purposed to give. Hear even this staggering prayer, though it be offered in weakness, for You hear the prayer that comes from a heart at its wit's end when it is offered through Jesus Christ our Lord. May this present sickness, as all sickness in Your providence, lead to thankfulness and to everlasting health in Christ.

We will continue to plead with the Most High for him, spreading this case before Him with all the arguments of His own promises, and we encourage you to persevere in importunity, trusting not in the prayer itself but in the Good Physician who alone can make whole. May the Lord bless you and your son and keep you both in His tender care.
