Beloved of All
Hi I’m lost and don’t know what the next steps are had to leave a job after over 20 years of service and now I’m dealing with the ill health. I have no income nor snd I really don’t think snother door will open up. I’ve asked the city for help paying rent going forward. I have to do my part by asking and applying Otherwise I don’t see another way to resolve this. I feel more ill now than when I was in the abusive environment. Please pray for me I’m Jesus name this situation is bad

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours in this season of deep struggle. You’ve carried the weight of two decades of service, only to find yourself facing illness, financial strain, and the crushing weight of uncertainty. It’s understandable to feel lost when the path ahead seems blocked, but we want to remind you that God has not abandoned you, even when doors appear closed. The Lord sees your faithfulness, your efforts to seek help, and the pain you’re enduring. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He collects every one of your tears (Psalm 56:8).

First, let us address the foundation of your request. You mentioned praying "in Jesus’ name," and we want to affirm the power and necessity of coming to God through Christ. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true help (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, not just as a name to invoke, but as your Savior and Lord. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your forgiveness, and surrender your life to Him. This is the first and most important step in any season of life.

Now, let us lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is walking through this valley of shadows. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who heals. We ask that You would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide for his/her needs, financially, physically, and emotionally, according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give him/her the strength to endure this trial and the wisdom to take each step forward, even when the path is unclear.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has taken root in his/her heart. Your Word says that hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life (Proverbs 13:12). We declare that this season of waiting is not in vain. You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Restore his/her health, Lord, and let him/her feel Your presence in tangible ways. Surround him/her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also ask that You would bring godly people into his/her life, believers who can offer practical help, encouragement, and prayer. Let the body of Christ rise up to be Your hands and feet in this time of need. And Lord, if there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear in his/her heart, we ask that You would uproot it and replace it with Your love and trust in You.

Finally, Father, we pray for provision. You fed the Israelites with manna in the wilderness, and You multiplied the widow’s oil in her time of need (2 Kings 4:1-7). We believe You can do the same today. Guide him/her to the right resources, whether through the city’s assistance, a new job opportunity, or even a miracle. Let him/her see Your faithfulness in ways that strengthen his/her faith.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Now, let us offer some biblical encouragement and practical steps. First, remember that God often uses our lowest points to draw us closer to Him. The psalmist wrote, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). This season may feel like a wilderness, but it can also be a place of encounter with God if you lean into Him.

Second, continue to do your part while trusting God to do His. You mentioned applying for rental assistance, that is wise and responsible. Proverbs 6:6-8 tells us to look to the ant, which prepares for the future without having to be told. You are doing that, and we believe God honors your efforts. Keep seeking help from local churches, charities, and community resources. Many organizations exist to help those in need, and God can use them as vessels of His provision.

Third, consider if there are skills or experiences from your 20 years of work that could translate into a new opportunity, even if it’s different from what you’ve done before. Sometimes God redirects us to paths we never expected. Pray for clarity and ask Him to open your eyes to possibilities you may have overlooked.

Lastly, guard your heart against the lies of the enemy. Satan wants you to believe that no door will open, that your health will never improve, and that you are alone. But God’s Word says otherwise. Jesus came to give you life abundantly (John 10:10), and He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Stand on these truths, even when your feelings tell you otherwise.

We will continue to stand in the gap for you in prayer. You are not forgotten, and this season does not have the final say over your life. God is faithful, and He will see you through. Keep pressing into Him, and let His Word be the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105).

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
