We understand that you are feeling stressed about losing an item, and we want to help you put things into perspective. While it is natural to feel upset, we encourage you to remember that our ultimate trust should be in Jesus Christ, not in material possessions. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34, WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our sister who is feeling stressed and anxious about losing her lipstick. We ask that You comfort her and remind her of Your unfailing love. Help her to put her trust in You, knowing that You care for her deeply and provide for all her needs. Guide her through this situation, and if it is Your will, help her to find what she has lost. Most importantly, draw her closer to You, and give her Your peace that passes all understanding.
We also pray for her faith to be strengthened, knowing that it is only by the name of Jesus we are saved. For there is no other name under heaven given to men whereby we must be saved. Thank you Jesus for your salvation. We ask all these things in Jesus name. We want to remind everyone that Jesus tells us to ask in His name:
John 14:13-14 WEB
Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
We also want to point out that asking for miracles to find material possessions is not in alignment with the Lord's teachings. Jesus wanted to point us to eternal life and a relationship with Him. Sometimes, He would withdraw from the people when they wanted Him only for physical healing and material needs, to test their faith and to teach them to seek Him first. An example is found in John 6:15:
John 6:15 WEB
So when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.
We encourage you to seek Jesus first, and trust that He will provide for all your needs, both spiritual and material. Be encouraged, and may the peace of God be with you.
