We have heard your request and join with you in prayer before the throne of grace concerning this lost item in the yard, that in the daylight hours it may be found if it be the Lord's will.
How gracious is our God to invite us to cast even our small cares upon Him, while He keeps for us a greater mercy. You have asked for prayer in Jesus name, and we gladly pray in that worthy name alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but the name of Jesus Christ who made peace by the blood of His cross.
May the Lord grant you that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This peace is not a mere lull of anxiety, but a well founded peace which flows from believing the Word of Him who cannot lie. To trust Him is rest. We are to trust God, acting in all prudence and uprightness, and to rely simply and entirely upon Him.
We pray for you and for her whom you mention, that you both may know this peace which passes all understanding, which keeps the heart and mind through Jesus Christ. We ask the Lord to guide the search when light returns, to give calmness of mind in this small trial, and to use even this circumstance to draw each heart to trust His Son more fully. For anxiety unfits us to meet difficulty, but trust in the Savior fits us for every duty and keeps us in quietness before Him.
Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now. Cast yourself at Jehovah's feet as He has revealed Himself in Christ Jesus, and so shall you be at peace with Him and good shall come unto you. May the Lord bless you with peace, and may you find your refuge in the shadow of His wings until these calamities be overpast.
We commend you to His merciful keeping, praying that you may seek first peace with God through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and then know His peace within, whispering through the blood of Jesus even in the midnight of care. Amen.
