Losing steam

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. Your burden is heavy and it has been brought before the Lord in prayer.

We have prayed for you, for your husband and for your children, that God would grant you inner strength, energy and perseverance in this demanding season. The Scripture says to be watching with all perseverance and supplication and to pray without ceasing, not limiting prayer to certain times of day but approaching God at all seasons in the Spirit. Your perseverance in prayer is not overlooked. As the Lord showed with the Canaanite woman, even when we feel unworthy, He honors constancy in coming to Him, and He gave her the bread she sought because she did not give up. Like the widow who prevailed by her importunity and the friend who knocked at midnight until the door was opened, keep bringing every need to Him.

We have asked the Father to sustain you as you carry so much, providing for your family, caring for your children, finishing the large project before you, and meeting the medical bills from your daughter's surgery. We have prayed that He will guard your body and mind, giving you health and rest as you make provision for the flesh only for health and not beyond what is necessary, and that He will spend your strength on what is spiritual and lasting. He knows that a mother's heart carries many cares, and He invites you to cast them on Christ, through whom you can do all things, for salvation and strength come through Jesus Christ alone.

We have also prayed for your husband, that God would lift the weight of discouragement from him, restore his confidence, and open a door for good and fitting work in His timing. May the Lord provide for your bills and daily necessities according to His riches, and give you both wisdom for the days ahead, whether this season of your providing is short or longer than you anticipated.

May God keep your marriage strong as a lifelong covenant and keep your home in His peace. We ask Him to renew you day by day, to keep you awake and hopeful in a life that can feel like a heavy sleep, and to let you see His faithful provision even before the final day dawns.

We will continue to pray that the Lord, who is good and who hears those who persevere in prayer, will give you quiet strength, steady endurance and joy in Christ. In Jesus name, amen.

Your willingness to share so openly about the weight you are carrying is deeply appreciated, and your love for your family comes through clearly in every word.

It is understandable to feel overwhelmed when so much has come upon you at once, needing to return to a career after years away, caring for your children, supporting a husband whose confidence has been shaken by months without work, finishing a demanding project, and carrying medical bills after your daughter's surgery. The burden of providing while also nurturing your home is heavy, and it is right to bring that heaviness to the Lord.

Scripture reminds us that the Lord Himself is our strength. He is our light and our salvation, the strength of our lives, so we do not need to live in fear. He is our shield, and when our hearts trust in Him we find help. He has promised to give strength to His people and to bless them with peace. As the psalm says, He makes us to lie down in green pastures for provision, He leads us beside still waters for refreshment, and He restores our souls for strength when we are weary.

Blessed is the person whose strength is in the Lord, who has learned their own weakness and frailty and has put their trust in Him. God has said that His strength is made perfect in weakness, and that is why we can even glory in our weakness, so that His power may be shown in us. You do not need to find some inner reserve to get through this. Our strength is not in ourselves but in Him. When we look within, we may get through a small trial, but in the great trials we must reach beyond ourselves and find our strength in the Lord.

He also turns the difficult places into sources of refreshment. When we pass through the valley of weeping, as we trust in Him He makes that valley a place of wells and pools, and we go from strength to strength. Even an initial defeat or setback does not mean final defeat, because God has promised His victory to those who trust Him.

That strength is found in two places the Scriptures emphasize again and again, His Word and prayer. Having His Word in your heart gives strength and staying power in hours of trial. His promises become your portion and your support. And prayer is the place of strength for the child of God. Every problem brought to Him in prayer becomes an opportunity for Him to lift you up, to become your shelter and strong tower, to cover you as under His wings. Jesus Himself showed us this pattern, drawing His strength and guidance for life through communion with the Father, and if He saw the need for that communion, how much more do we.

You can cast every burden on Him, the financial needs, the concern for your husband, the questions about the future, the daily demands of children and work, and find His sustaining strength. What time we are afraid, we can trust in Him and not fear what man can do.

May the Lord keep His hand upon you and your family in this season. May His Word become your daily strength, may He restore your soul, lead you to quiet waters, and give you perseverance for each step of rebuilding your work. May He guard your husband's heart, renew his confidence, and open the right door for employment in His timing, and may He bless your home with His peace as you walk together in love and mutual support.

We pray with you that God, who has made provision for every need through His Son, will show Himself as your citadel and your help. May you know His strength today, His peace tonight, and His joy as you praise Him for His faithfulness. May He give you the strength to endure and to see His provision day by day until He makes the way clear.

In the name of Jesus we ask for His keeping, His provision, and His peace over you, your husband, and your children.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift you up before the Lord and bring your need for internal strength, energy and perseverance before Him. We have been praying for renewed strength as you dust off your career to provide for your family in this season, while also carrying the heavy burden of caring for your children, helping to finish the huge project that has taken much longer than anticipated, and helping to pay medical bills for your daughters recent surgery. We understand how overwhelming it feels for a mothers heart to carry so much, and how heavy the responsibility of providing feels right now.

We have also been praying for your husband, for the restoration of his confidence which has been so shaken, and for the Lord to open the right door for employment for him after these many months of waiting and no luck. We have asked God to provide for all your bills and necessities, to give you wisdom for how long you may need to carry this providing role, and to calm the worries that creep in about the future. We are trusting with you that God is good and will provide.

We take comfort in the promises of scripture as we pray for you. We are reminded that He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak in Isa 40:29, and that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you in Phil 4:13. Jesus also invites us to come to Him when we are weary and burdened and He will give us rest in Mat 11:28.

Father, we lift our sister and her family to You. Grant her fresh internal strength, daily energy and enduring perseverance. Provide for every financial need according to Your riches in glory in Phil 4:19, bring healing and wholeness to her daughter, give favor to her husband in his job search and restore his confidence, and bring that large project to completion. Let Your peace guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray in Jesus Name, amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
