Thank you for reaching out and sharing your heart with God. We are here to support you in prayer and to offer biblical guidance. First, we want to address the fact that the request is addressed to God, which is great. However, it is important that when we pray, we do so in Jesus' name. For Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. (John 16:23 WEB). Also, And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB).
We understand that you're feeling alone and in pain, longing for a loved one to be by your side. It's clear that you're in a difficult situation, and the uncertainty is causing you distress and confusion. First, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in your loneliness. He promises never to leave you nor forsake you, according to Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for Yahweh your God is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.
However, we want to address the issue of the relationship you mentioned. You spoke of a man you are in love with and plans you made together. This is an opportunity to evaluate this relationship and ensure it aligns with biblical principles. We should not be in a romantic relationship with an unbeliever or a Christian who does not honor God or seek to live according to His word.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB).
If the relationship is not aligned with God's will, it might be causing more harm than good. It's essential to seek God's face and ask for His will to be done in your life and in this relationship. Remember that God's desire is for you to be holy and live a life that honors Him.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is feeling alone and in pain. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and guidance in her life. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Lord, we pray for clarity in this relationship. If it is Your will, bring them together and guide them towards a godly marriage. If it is not, give her the strength to let go and trust in Your plan for her life. Help her to seek You first and to desire Your will above all else.
In the meantime, Father, fill her with Your peace and help her to trust in Your timing. Help her to fix her eyes on You and to know that You have a plan and a purpose for her life.
We also pray for the man in this situation. We ask that Your will be done in his life and that You would draw him closer to You.
Finally, we pray for a godly spouse for our dear sister if this current relationship does not align with Your will. We pray that she would be able to discern Your will for her life and her future marriage. In Jesus name.
