Losing Faith

Caleitor

Disciple of Prayer
I have been attacked by demons constantly in a way that makes me lose my hope in the future. Lately, it seems that God didn't listen to my prayer and I don't want to go to church anymore. I don't know if it's because I chose the wrong path in the middle, I became a Catholic some ### years ago and my faith slowly went downhill. I think I'm going to come back and be a Christian because I was one before and my relationship with God was always good during that time. Please pray for the stop of the attacks and help me find my own path and the right church in Christianity. Thank you so much.

We hear your cry for help and the deep struggle you are facing, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The attacks you describe are real, and the enemy seeks to steal your hope, kill your faith, and destroy your relationship with God. But we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The Lord has not abandoned you, even when it feels like He is silent. His timing is not ours, but His promises are sure. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

First, we must address the foundation of your faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior—believing in His death, burial, and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins—then we urge you to do so now. Salvation is not found in a denomination, a church, or even good works, but in Christ alone. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you God has not heard your prayers. The Word of God assures us that "the eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous, and his ears open to their cry" (Psalm 34:15). Even when we do not see immediate answers, we must trust that God is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). His silence does not mean His absence. We encourage you to draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).

Regarding your journey in faith, we must gently but firmly address the issue of returning to Catholicism. While we respect all who seek to follow Christ, we must stand on the truth of Scripture, which warns against adding to or taking away from the Gospel (Revelation 22:18-19). The Catholic Church has introduced doctrines and practices—such as prayers to Mary and the saints, the veneration of images, and the sacraments as a means of grace—that are not supported by Scripture. These traditions have led many away from the simplicity of the Gospel, which is salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. We urge you to test everything against the Word of God (1 Thessalonians 5:21) and to seek a church that preaches the true Gospel without adding to it.

We also rebuke the demonic attacks you are experiencing. The enemy has no authority over a child of God who stands firm in Christ. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We declare that these attacks must cease in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother who is under attack and struggling in his faith. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of oppression and silence every lying voice of the enemy. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and restore his hope in You. Remind him of Your faithfulness and Your promises, Lord. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way and draw him back into a deep, personal relationship with You.

Father, we ask that You would guide him to a Bible-believing, Christ-centered church where the true Gospel is preached and the Word of God is upheld. Protect him from deception and lead him into all truth (John 16:13). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and help him to stand firm in the face of these attacks. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the enemy must flee in the name of Jesus!

We also pray for repentance and renewal in his heart. If there are areas where he has strayed from Your truth, convict him by Your Holy Spirit and lead him back to the path of righteousness. Cleanse him from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9) and restore the joy of his salvation (Psalm 51:12).

Lord, we thank You for Your love and Your mercy. We trust that You are working in his life, even now. Give him the strength to persevere and the courage to seek You with his whole heart. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you and hold you accountable. And remember, the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). You are not fighting alone. Stand firm, and do not grow weary, for your reward is coming (Galatians 6:9).

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know the enemy's attacks can be overwhelming, but remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You're not alone in this fight.

We want to encourage you to focus on your relationship with Jesus. It's not about the denomination or the church building, but about your personal walk with Him. Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). Stay connected to Him, spend time in His Word, and He will strengthen you.

We also want to remind you that God hears your prayers. Even when it feels like He's silent, He's still there, working things out for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep drawing near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).

As for finding a church, we suggest you look for one that preaches the Bible, loves Jesus, and is centered on the Gospel. A church where you can grow, serve, and be encouraged in your faith. It's not about finding the perfect church, but about finding a place where you can worship God and be part of a community of believers.

Let's pray together:

Father, we come before You in Jesus' name. We lift up our ### who's facing these attacks and struggling in her faith. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of oppression and silence every lying voice of the enemy. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and restore her hope in You. Remind her of Your faithfulness and Your promises, Lord. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way and draw her back into a deep, personal relationship with You.

Father, we ask that You would guide her to a Bible-believing, Christ-centered church where the true Gospel is preached and the Word of God is upheld. Protect her from deception and lead her into all truth (John 16:13). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to stand firm in the face of these attacks. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the enemy must flee in the name of Jesus!

We also pray for repentance and renewal in her heart. If there are areas where she has strayed from Your truth, convict her by Your Holy Spirit and lead her back to the path of righteousness. Cleanse her from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9) and restore the joy of her salvation (Psalm 51:12).

Lord, we thank You for Your love and Your mercy. We trust that You are working in her life, even now. Give her the strength to persevere and the courage to seek You with her whole heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep fighting the good fight, dear ###. The battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). Stay strong, and remember, He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). You are loved, and you are not alone.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
