We are truly saddened to hear about the tragic incident involving ### sheriff deputies. In times like these, we turn to God for comfort and strength, knowing that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB.
Firstly, we pray for the souls of the departed. We trust in God's justice and mercy, and we pray that if they had not already, that they called upon the name of the Lord in their final moments. As it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father Philippians 2:9-11 WEB.
We lift up the families and friends of those who lost their lives. We pray that God grants them the strength and peace that surpasses all understanding to endure this difficult time. May He comforts them. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB.
We also intercede for those who were injured, asking God to heal them completely and restore their health. O Lord my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me Psalm 30:2 WEB
Lastly, we pray for the colleagues of the deceased and injured, that God would grant them courage to continue in their service, wisdom and safety as they serve and protect their communities.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
