Beloved of All
📖 "Pray, then, after this manner [1]... 🙌 ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!”

<———--------——— ———(Selah)—————----———————>

🙏"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17...

🙌 Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

🙏 Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

🙏 May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

🙏 May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

<——————-———————(Selah)——————--————————>

🙏 Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

🙏 Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

🙏 Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

🙌 For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20).

Death for Sin, and Death to Sin
Christ’s death for sin frees you from its power and calls you to live righteously.
Home Again
Returning to God brings overwhelming joy that calls you to come home now.
The Reception of Sinners
God delights to welcome repentant sinners with immediate, overflowing joy and full restoration.
We join you in thanking our Father for giving us this perfect pattern for prayer and we agree with you that it is not to be mindlessly repeated but to be prayed with understanding, weight, and expectation.

You have rightly divided the prayer as our Lord taught it in Matt 6:9-13, first seeking the Father's honor, His Kingdom and His will, and then bringing our own needs for provision, forgiveness, and deliverance, which is exactly what Jesus calls us to in Matt 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We love how you have lingered over each petition, for Jesus also warned us in Matt 6:7 not to use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, but to come with sincere hearts, and James 1:6 reminds us to ask in faith, without any doubting, and James 5:16 tells us the insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

We pray together with you now over this pattern.

Our Father who is in heaven, we thank You that through faith in Your only begotten Son we have been given the right to become Your children, as John 1:12 says, But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name, and that by Your Spirit we now cry Abba, Father as Gal 4:6 teaches. Thank You for so loving the world that You gave Your only born Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16, and that Jesus has shown us the Father, John 14:9, and through His shed blood, death for our sins, burial and resurrection according to 1 Cor 15:3-4, we are declared not guilty, Rom 4:25, and seated with Him.

Hallowed be Your name, we ask that Your gracious and compassionate name revealed in Exod 34:6-7 would be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds, and that we would not take Your name in vain, Exod 20:7, nor cause it to be blasphemed among others, Rom 2:24, but that Your glory would fill the earth as Hab 2:14 declares, For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Yahweh’s glory, as the waters cover the sea, and that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, Phil 2:10-11.

May Your Kingdom come, we ask for Your Kingdom which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, Rom 14:17, to come more fully in us and through us. Bring forth in us the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, and the gifts of the Spirit for the building up of the Body until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, Eph 4:13, for the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power, 1 Cor 4:20, and we long for the power to live holy lives overflowing with love for You and for others. And we join our voices with Yours in Rev 22:20, Come, Lord Jesus, longing for the day Your Kingdom comes in fullness on earth as it is in heaven.

May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, we surrender to be led by Your Spirit, Rom 8:14, and to hear Your voice as Your sheep, John 10:27, abiding in Christ that we may bear much fruit, John 15:7-8, and be Your witnesses to all nations, Acts 1:8, going and making disciples, teaching them to observe all things You commanded, Matt 28:19-20.

Give us today our daily bread, we acknowledge that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, physical and financial needs according to Phil 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, that we may love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, Mark 12:30, and love our neighbor as ourselves, Mark 12:31.

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, we confess that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Rom 3:23, and if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, 1 John 1:8. We receive Your forgiveness and we choose to forgive those who have sinned against us, entrusting judgment to You who judges righteously, Rom 12:19 and 1 Pet 4:19, praying for them that they would repent and be saved.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, give us Your angelic protection, for He will put his angels in charge of you, Ps 91:11, and deliver us from every evil work, for Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever, as all authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth, Matt 28:18, and Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, Ps 115:1.

We thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will, Mark 11:24, and that in Jesus all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20. We pray all these things in the saving and precious name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to You, for Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Amen.

We appreciated the thought and reverence you put into laying out the Lord's Prayer as a pattern to live inside, not just words to repeat. Your desire to put the Father's honor, His kingdom and His will first, before bringing daily needs, forgiveness, and protection, comes through clearly.

We find it helps to think of this kind of praying as training more than trying. Like preparing for a long run, the growth comes from small, steady practice over time rather than getting every petition perfect in one sitting. That perspective takes pressure off on the days when prayer feels thin or distracted, and keeps the focus on simply staying close to the Father and becoming more like Christ in the process.

If it would help, you might try lingering with just one line each morning this week, turning it over quietly before the Lord and noticing what He brings to mind, then moving to the next line another day. There is no need to cover it all at once to pray it sincerely.

We are grateful to seek Him alongside you and are praying with you as you continue.

Father, thank You for making a way through Jesus for us to come to You as Father. Form our hearts to honor Your name and welcome Your kingdom and will in our lives. Provide for what we need today, teach us to forgive as we have been forgiven, and keep us close to You and away from evil. We trust You to hear us, in Jesus' name, Amen.

How good and gracious is our God to put into our mouths such a prayer as this, and to teach us first to seek His Kingdom and His righteousness with the promise that all other things shall be added unto us.

Your meditation upon the pattern which our Lord taught His disciples is most profitable, for it is not a form to be mindlessly repeated but a summary of topics upon which the soul may pour itself out before the throne with understanding and expectation. To pray after this manner is to begin where prayer must ever begin, with the Father Himself. Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. There we learn that by blood and by adoption we have been made children of God, and may draw near with the same intimacy as Christ Himself, crying Abba, Father. And what a mercy that His name, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, should be hallowed in our thoughts and words and deeds, that the world may not deride it through us but reverence it because Christ is seen in us.

You have well placed the Kingdom and the Will of God before your own wants. May Your Kingdom come, may Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is to pray for the reign of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, for the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control to be manifest in us, and for power to live a holy life overflowing with love for God and for others. And we pray it also as those who long for His full appearing, when the Kingdom which cannot be destroyed shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, and every knee shall bow to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Then comes our daily bread, and here faith confesses its dependence. We cannot live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Those doctrines which you feed upon are your daily bread, and He who has promised to supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus will meet your spiritual and temporal wants, that you may love Him with heart and soul and mind and strength, and love your neighbour as yourself.

And you pray, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Here is the very heart of the gospel. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Suppose your debt were great beyond all reckoning, yet Jehovah will never require that debt to be paid twice. Christ has paid it, and if you ask forgiveness for the sake of Jesus, God will do anything for Jesus and He will do anything for you for His dear sake. He has no buts in His forgiveness. You sometimes say, I forgive him, but I will never trust him again. Not so the Lord. When you make a clean breast in confession He will give you a clean breast by absolution, and He will not remember your sins in His distribution of the reward, but will employ you still to preach His gospel and serve His Son. And having received such an eternal and divine forgiveness, you are called to bear and forbear even to the end, for vengeance is Mine, saith the Lord, and you are to forgive as you have been forgiven.

And you pray, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. This is the cry of one who knows himself and knows his God. Know thyself, O man, and that will make thee miserable, know thy God, O Christian, and that will make thee rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. He is able to keep you from falling and to give you angelic protection, to deliver you from the noise of archers and from the evil one, and to bring your will into sweet subjection to His own. For salvation hinges upon the will of God and not upon the will of man, and yet God does not violate the human will when He saves men, they are not converted against their will, but their will itself is converted, so that you may willingly say, even as Christ, not my will but Thine be done.

Continue then to pray in this manner, with serious consideration of the weight of each petition, ardently and expecting answers, for He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him, He also will hear their cry and will save them. When you have respect to God's will, God will have respect to your will. There is forgiveness always with God, for Jesus is always there. Therefore go to Him and find it, and live as in the light of that coming day when to have served God will be glory and to have won souls will be renown.

May the Lord hear you and establish you in His Kingdom, His power and His glory forever. Amen in Jesus name, in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your longing to seek first the Father and His Kingdom and to pray as the Lord taught His disciples is good and pleasing to God, and I thank Him for the care with which you have considered each petition.

The prayer He gave is indeed a pattern, not to be repeated without thought, but to shape our understanding and desire. When we say Our Father, we remember what great mercy has been shown to us. We who sat in darkness, at enmity and alienated, have been counted worthy of forgiveness, of adoption as sons, of the Spirit, and of the inheritance of the Kingdom. Therefore we come not as strangers but as children who have received grace, and we may call upon Him with confidence through Jesus Christ who shed His blood for our sins, was buried and raised to declare us not guilty, and now lives to give us the Spirit of adoption.

To hallow His Name is to ask that His gracious and compassionate character may be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds, so that our lives do not cause His Name to be spoken against but to be reverenced. To pray for His Kingdom to come is to ask for righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit to be formed in us and through us, with the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, and with a true desire for mercy and justice and humility before God. This Kingdom is already present among us by the Spirit, and we also look for its fullness when Christ returns, and it is right to pray, Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

To pray that His will be done is to ask to know and to submit to His will each day, to be led by the Spirit, to abide in Christ, to bear fruit and to make His Gospel known, trusting that He rules over His Church and over the nations until He comes to reward the righteous.

When you ask for daily bread, you ask rightly for all that is needed for body and soul, not for excess or indulgence, but for what sustains health and strength to serve Him, remembering that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from God. God knows our needs and is faithful to provide what is necessary, while teaching us contentment and care for others.

When you pray, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, you touch the heart of the Gospel. Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. Having received so great a forgiveness by grace and not by our works, we are called to extend that same forgiveness to those who have sinned against us, praying for them and entrusting judgment to Him who alone can save and judge.

When you pray, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, remember that God is faithful. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape that you may be able to endure it. He gives patience and brings release, and refers all to His power. He sometimes permits trial not to harm us but to draw us to Himself, as a loving father allows a fear that causes his child to run to his bosom. Therefore persevere in prayer. Though you do not receive at once, continue to ask. It is not His desire to withhold, but by delay He trains us to remain near Him and to depend on Him continually. If you do receive, give thanks, for every good answer comes from His Kingdom and power and glory.

So continue to pray with understanding, with seriousness and with expectation, according to the Scriptures, trusting that in Christ all the promises of God are yes and amen. May He keep you from evil, from deception and from the snares of the evil one, and guard you by His power, granting you to live a holy life overflowing with love for God and for neighbor, until His Kingdom comes in fullness.
