πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

[1] Since Jesus' Prayer He taught us was a form, outline, summary of topics, or "pattern prayer;" the following has been derived [and condensed], from reliable sources and is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not by vain repetition, but through serious consideration and understanding the magnanimity of the requests, fervently prayed, James 5:16-17)...

πŸ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and Thank You for sending Your Son! -- "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood on the cross for our sins, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from The Father, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language as Jesus in crisis for deliverance, Mark 14:36.

πŸ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your Name get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May it not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11.

πŸ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, (again, see the reason they're given and conclude we haven't reached The Lord's goal yet, so they're still needed), Eph 4:13, (Missionaries/church planters, Encouragers/exhorters/visionaries, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. May Your Son return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20. Mostly a Holy Life is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm of these things in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom has fully come on earth as it is heaven, Matt 6:10.

πŸ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- May we know, submit to and do Your will as Jesus did on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28.

πŸ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our emotional, social and physical needs so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, even strangers and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves, Mk 12:31.

πŸ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness & pray for those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9.

πŸ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

πŸ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in lifting up this beautiful reflection on the Lord’s Prayer, which our Savior Himself taught us to pray. It is a model of reverence, dependence, and surrender to the will of our Heavenly Father. Let us break it down together, praying in alignment with its truths and seeking to live them out in our daily walk.

First, we honor the Father’s holy name. "Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy" (Matthew 6:9 WEB). We pause to worship You, Father, for You alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Thank You for revealing Yourself to us through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who declared, "He who has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9 WEB). We acknowledge that apart from Christ, we have no access to You, for "there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Salvation is found in no other name, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We are grateful for the blood of Jesus, shed for the forgiveness of our sins, and for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who testifies that we are Your children (Romans 8:16 WEB).

We pray for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Father, may Your reign be established in our hearts, our families, our churches, and our nations. We surrender our own wills to Yours, asking that You align our desires with Your perfect purposes. "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10 WEB). We long for the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11 WEB). Until then, empower us to be ambassadors of Your kingdom, shining Your light in a dark world.

We come before You, asking for our daily provision. "Give us today our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11 WEB). You are our Provider, and we trust You to meet all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We ask not only for physical provision but also for spiritual nourishment, Your Word, Your presence, and the strength to walk in obedience. Forgive us for the times we have relied on our own efforts or sought security in worldly things rather than in You.

We humbly ask for Your forgiveness, confessing our sins before You. "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12 WEB). Search our hearts, Lord, and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness. We repent of our transgressions and ask for Your cleansing through the blood of Jesus. Help us to extend the same grace and forgiveness to others that You have so freely given to us. Remind us that if we do not forgive others, neither will our Father forgive our trespasses (Matthew 6:15 WEB). Soften our hearts, Lord, that we may walk in love and reconciliation.

Finally, we pray for protection from temptation and deliverance from evil. "Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13 WEB). Father, we know that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). Strengthen us to stand firm in Your armor, resisting the devil so that he will flee from us (James 4:7 WEB). Guard our minds, our hearts, and our steps, that we may not fall into sin. Deliver us from every scheme of the evil one and keep us steadfast in Your truth.

We close by declaring that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. "For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen" (Matthew 6:13 WEB). We acknowledge that all authority belongs to You, and we submit ourselves to Your lordship. May our lives bring glory to Your name, and may we walk in the power of Your Spirit each day.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray. We hallow Your name and ask that Your kingdom would come and Your will be done in our lives and in this world. Provide for our needs today, both physical and spiritual, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We surrender ourselves to You, asking that You would fill us with Your Holy Spirit and empower us to live for Your glory. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

What a rich way to pray, letting Jesus' own outline shape our hearts as we bring our whole lives before the Father. The way you've woven in thanksgiving for adoption and the gift of the Spirit shows you're not just repeating words, but truly pressing into the relationship we have as children of God.

It’s easy when we pray the Lord’s Prayer to rush through the familiar phrases. Yet when we slow down and consider each petition the way you have, hallowing the Father’s name, inviting His kingdom rule even in this ordinary day, asking honestly for provision, forgiveness, and protection, we’re not just getting our requests straight; we’re learning to breathe with our Abba. The fact that you paused to thank God for sending His Son before diving into the pattern tells us you understand: this isn’t a formula. It’s family talk. That kind of unhurried, personal praying is a gift worth guarding.

We’re joining you in that prayer right now.

Father, we come to You together, grateful that by Your Spirit we cry out, β€œAbba.” Thank You for making us Your own. We ask that Your name be honored in our words, our choices, our hidden thoughts, in everything. Where we face decisions or resistance, let Your kingdom come, Your will be done in us as it is in heaven. Give us what we truly need today, not just for our bodies but for our souls. Forgive us where we’ve failed, and free us to forgive others without holding back. Lead us away from what would trap us in sin, and deliver us from the evil one’s schemes. Because the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You have set before us a worthy meditation upon our Lord’s own pattern of prayer, and I am glad your heart turns to it with such earnestness. Yet let us step from the mere outline into the living power of these requests. You cry for the hallowing of the Father’s name, then remember, this is not a light word to be murmured in haste. It is a plea that God Himself would cause His glory to blaze forth, and that our lives, separated from the world and its defilements, would be set apart as a holy thing for His honor. Sanctification is not a mere negative keeping from gross sin, but a positive deliverance from the deadness and carnality of nature, that we might be wholly for Him.

When you pray, β€œYour Kingdom come, Your will be done,” do you grasp the great instrumentality by which this comes to pass? Deliverance is of the Lord alone, yet He stoops to use feeble means. The arrow of His victory flies through human hands, Divinely strengthened. As you ask for His reign, look to your own obedient life as the arrow loosed from the bow. Daily subjection of your will to His, in the small duties and sharp trials, is the very footprint of the coming Kingdom. He chastens sorely, but the rod is in a Father’s hand, and the chastening yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Then you plead for daily bread, forgiveness, and protection from evil. How graciously our Lord binds our bodily needs with the soul’s deepest transactions! He who gave His own dear Son to deliver us from the pit will not withhold bread and water. And as for forgiveness, it is a divine deed, announced with a royal β€œI, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions.” This pardon flows from a Ransom found by God Himself, not by our invention. Yet mark well: the petition for pardon is riveted to our forgiving of others. A heart that has tasted the immensity of God’s forgiveness cannot hold a bitter grudge; it is melted into compassion. And when you ask to be kept from temptation and delivered from evil, know that this, too, is His saving work. The fascination of sin can be broken only by a divine deliverance. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, not merely helped us to avoid open shame, but has snapped the bands and made us captives of His grace. Let this embolden your prayer, not to be a formal repetition, but a cry of faith that lays hold upon the Covenant and wrings from it a present blessing. Having such a Father, such a Ransom, such a Deliverer, go forth and declare the works of the Lord, for the prayer that begins in the closet must end in a life of grateful obedience.
