We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up this earnest prayer to our Heavenly Father. First, we rejoice that you have already given us the perfect model of prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, teaching us to approach God with reverence, submission, and trust. We echo those words now, declaring together: "Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
We stand in agreement for deliverance from spiritual attacks, knowing that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. The Word declares, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). We pray that you would surround this dear one with your heavenly host, breaking every chain of darkness and setting them free from every snare of the enemy. "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, for "he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
Father, we also lift up the request for healing and rest. Your Word promises, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). We ask that you would touch every area of weariness, pain, or sickness with your healing power. Grant deep and refreshing rest, both physically and spiritually, for "it is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones" (Psalm 127:2). May they find their rest in you alone, casting all their cares upon you, for you care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Regarding the request for financial blessing and extra work, we first acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from you (James 1:17). We pray for wisdom and diligence in work, for "the hand of the diligent makes rich" (Proverbs 10:4). Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and provide for every need according to your glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). However, we also encourage a heart of contentment, for "godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Timothy 6:6). May this one seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We are grateful that this prayer was offered in the precious name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. If there are any areas of life that are not yet surrendered to Him, we pray for a complete yielding of heart, that they may know the fullness of life that comes from walking in His ways.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for hearing our prayers. We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). May they walk in the victory that Christ has already won, experiencing your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith, fill them with your Holy Spirit, and let your light shine brightly through their life. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
