We join with you in thanking our Father for the perfect pattern He has given us for prayer and we rejoice that you have highlighted the divine order in it.

Our Lord taught us to begin not with our own wants but with worship and surrender, Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Matt 6:9-10. How gracious that we are invited to call the holy Creator our Father through faith in Jesus Christ, and how right it is that His honor, His Kingdom and His will come first in our hearts before any other request. When we put Him first we are living out Matt 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

Then, from that place of surrender, Jesus teaches us to bring our daily needs before Him, Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matt 6:11-13. We see here our complete dependence for provision, for forgiveness, and for protection. We cannot forgive in our own strength, but as we have been forgiven much we are called to forgive others from the heart, and we are to daily ask to be kept from sin and delivered from the schemes of the evil one, trusting not in our own power but in His Kingdom, power and glory forever.

We pray together with you now. Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. We praise You and thank You that we can come to You through Jesus Your Son. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, in our families, and on this earth as it is in heaven. We ask You to give us today our daily bread, to provide for every need according to Your riches. Forgive us our debts as we also forgive those who have sinned against us, cleanse our hearts of bitterness and help us to walk in mercy. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, keep our feet from stumbling and guard us from evil. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness each day, trusting that all else will be added as You see fit. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our Mediator and Savior, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer and the way you put the Father first, His name, His kingdom, His will, before bringing your own needs for provision, forgiveness and protection. Thank you for sharing that gratitude with us. We join you in thanking Him.

That order you lifted up is such a steady way to pray. When we begin by remembering who God is and what He is doing, our daily concerns for bread, for grace to forgive and be forgiven, and for keeping from evil find their right place. It keeps our hearts anchored instead of scattered.

If it is helpful in the days ahead, you might stay with that same simple rhythm in a quiet moment each morning, lingering on just one phrase at a time rather than hurrying through. Letting one line settle for a little while can often make the whole prayer feel fresh again.

Father, we thank You for this friend and for the thankful heart You have given them. We thank You that we can come to You as Father only through Jesus. We ask You to draw them nearer as they seek Your kingdom and Your will, and to meet their daily needs according to Your goodness and wisdom. Keep them close, guard their steps, and give them joy in walking with You. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The order of the prayer which our Lord taught his disciples is itself a sermon. You have well observed it, that first we are to seek the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will, and then to ask for our provision, our pardon, our preservation from sin and deliverance from evil. So our Lord would have us pray, Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and thus to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, with the promise that all these other things shall be added unto us.

This prayer which the Master gave us may be called the holy of holies of the word of God, where the Son speaks with the Father in closest fellowship of love, and where He teaches us how to speak with the Father also. In it our Lord gathers up His desire for our sanctification, Sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy word is truth. Holiness is an essential qualification for fitness in the service of the Kingdom, hence we are taught to pray, Hallowed be Thy name, and to yield ourselves to His will, that we may be made holy and kept holy by His grace.

You have rightly pleaded for daily bread, for forgiveness, and for deliverance. There is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared. Would Christ have put these words into your mouth, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, if there were no pardon to be had. There is forgiveness, and that forgiveness is only to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son. It is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is complete and eternal, so that the soul that comes to Christ may know that all its sins are cast behind His back. Yet the very prayer that teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, as we forgive our debtors. Unless you have forgiven others you read your own death warrant when you repeat the Lord's prayer, but where grace has made the heart tender, to forgive becomes as natural as to open the hand, for we have had so much forgiven.

You ask also to be led not into temptation but delivered from evil. Neglect prayer and you will soon discover that all your spiritual powers wax weak, but he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. There is a prayer treasury, and we must all put prayers into it. Do not think your standard of prayer is to be a low one. Go on seeking, go on asking, for deliverance is of the Lord though He will accomplish it by human instrumentality and by His own mighty arm. Though Satan will whisper that God has forsaken you and that your prayer is a waste of words, remember that He hears His people. He heard Jacob at Jabbok, and He will hear you.

Therefore continue to hallow His name in your life, to seek His Kingdom before all else, to live upon His daily provision with thanksgiving, to walk in forgiving love toward others as you have been forgiven, and to watch and pray that you enter not into temptation, trusting Him to deliver you from evil. For His is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. May the Lord sanctify you through His truth, establish you in His forgiveness, and keep you by His power until His Kingdom come in its fullness, and may His will be done in you as it is done in heaven. Amen.

Your desire to pray after the manner the Lord taught is good and right, and we join you in it with thanksgiving.

We pray that our Father in heaven would be honored in your life and in all things, that His name would be hallowed, His kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask that you would seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add what you need.

We ask Him to give you daily bread, to provide for your needs according to His wisdom and mercy. We ask Him to forgive your debts through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and to help you forgive others as you have been forgiven, so that no root of bitterness or reviling would remain. We ask Him to lead you not into temptation but to deliver you from evil and from every evil work, keeping you in remembrance of Him so that you may choose what is good and be strengthened to do it.

May the Lord keep you close to Himself, turn you more and more from evil, and establish you in His grace. For His is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. We pray this in the name of Jesus, amen.
