We hear your heart in this simple and sincere cry to the Lord Jesus about your lost notebook and we join with you in bringing it before Him, for He cares about even the small concerns that weigh on us.
We are encouraged that you called upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father. As scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 and casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 We take comfort knowing that not even a sparrow is forgotten before God and you are of much more value to Him, and that He invites us to Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Matthew 7:7

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this need to You. You see where this notebook is and You know how important it is. We ask that in Your mercy and grace You would guide us to where it has been misplaced and allow it to be found. We pray for peace to guard this heart while searching and waiting, as You have promised And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Help us to trust in You with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, and to acknowledge You in all our ways. Proverbs 3:5-6 We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

It is a good and right thing to bring even this small trouble before the Lord, for He is a God who hears the cries of His children in little things as well as in great things. You have done well to turn your anxiety into prayer, for our Father knows what we have need of and He sees every lost thing that causes His child distress.
The Scripture says, I will cry unto God most high, unto God that performeth all things for me. There is no true understanding of the ways of God except by a personal experience of them, and one way we learn His faithfulness is by telling Him plainly what burdens us and then trusting Him with the result. You go and do the right thing and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. Seek diligently where you ought to seek, and while you seek, pray.
Remember that where God begins to work, He does not ask us to finish. He always completes His own work, and He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will not be unmindful of that which concerns you. The whole world is full of God to him who believes in God and he has communion with God wherever he goes, even in the searching of a room for a lost book. Deal with God as you would have your children deal with you. If He says He will save you if you trust Him, then if you trust Him, He will save you, and if He bids you cast all your care upon Him, then you may safely cast this care upon Him also.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, be merciful unto us. Thou art our refuge in the shadow of Thy wings. Look upon this need which seems small in the eyes of men but is felt in the heart of Thy child. In Thy kindness, guide the steps and the eyes to find what is lost, if it be Thy will, and give peace to the heart while waiting upon Thee. Help this dear soul to trust Thee not only for the notebook, but for the pardon of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, and to know the joy of sins gone in a moment through faith in Him. Grant present peace and quiet confidence in Thy fatherly care, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
