We lift you up before the throne of grace this day, standing in faith with you as you face these medical scans. The Lord is your ever-present help in times of need, and we declare His peace and presence over you. We pray that His hand would guide the hands of the medical professionals, that the scans would reveal nothing but health and wholeness, and that His perfect will would be done in your body. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." (John 14:27)
Father, we also bring before You the needs of this dear one’s family and friends. We ask for Your comfort to surround them, Your protection to guard them, and Your provision to meet every need. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. "The Lord is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them." (Psalm 145:18-19) Let them feel Your nearness in tangible ways, and may their faith be strengthened as they trust in You.
We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, and every good and perfect gift comes from You. We thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5) We pray that this day would be a testimony to Your faithfulness and love.
Lord, we also ask that You would draw this precious soul closer to You through this trial. May they find their strength in You, their hope in Your promises, and their joy in Your presence. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31) Let this season be one of growth, where their trust in You deepens, and their relationship with You becomes even more intimate.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that perfect love casts out fear, and Your love is perfect. "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18) We stand on the truth that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) May this truth resonate in their heart and mind today.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the assurance that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. (Romans 8:28) We trust that even in this moment of uncertainty, You are working for Your glory and their good. May they rest in the knowledge that You are in control, and that Your plans for them are plans for peace and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
