In a great country

Thank You for good caregivers

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins

Friends and classmates

Teachers and coaches

Neighbors and volunteers

Thank You for all my pets

Birds and trees

Flowers and grass

Sunshine and rain

Books and pencils

Things to learn

Music and instruments

Fun and joyfulness

Places to go in town

Trips to the city

Family adventures

Rest and relaxation

You blessed me

Even when I rebelled You still took care of me

You gave me a new season and then another

New friends when I lost old

Jobs and skills

Safe places to lick wounds

People who taught me Your greatness

Showing what and how to live

You were patient with me

Even though I didn’t deserve it You were there all the time

Lord I wish I was more grateful when life was sweet

I still have hopes and dreams

But I’m older and weary

And things don’t look good

But You brought me this far

Thank You for dying for me so I may still be here

That I may still have a chance to follow You

Help me to be better

Because I don’t deserve this love You have for me

I thank You for loving me anyway
